my thread titles are more for show
but my point still stands WTF is with the LRM hate
Because it's always frustrating when you bring 100% and someone on your team brings 30% while saying "hey, my feet hurt alreasy, you guys need to carry me." Yes, there's a lot of bad builds, weapons and decisions people can bring. LRMs are just the really obvious ones so when someone has been getting sandbagged out every match for a week and they snap it's likely on the obvious LRM guy.
The "but I'm a 733t Snyper!!11!" is just as likely to lose you the match, they're just usually not as obvious.

It just has a lot to do with the behaviour of some lrm players, not the weapon system itself, even though they do get conflated. You can spot a bad lurmer from their build easily, but many of the dudes hating on lrm players wouldn't know a good lrm build if they saw one.
They are a high workload weapon system that stretches your battlefield awareness to the max. When I'm feeling lazy, and want an easier game I just play whack-a-mole laser vomit or gauss ppc.
That said, I have been guilty, while driving my HBK-4J of hating on the dude that brought 4 x lrm 15 King Crab. If you are going to do them, do them properly.

Improving the match maker to factor in variables such as LRM count instead of just blindly factoring tonnage and "tiers" should go a long way in improving matches.
I hope you realize that taking more variables into account just makes the matchmaker's job more difficult. Doing so at the weapon level (i..e Why just LRMs?) makes that almost impossible -- especially for a small playerbase.

I know there are different playstyles, and i dont want to say they are acting cowardly, but it is something to think about for those that use missiles.
I guess all those drone pilots are nothing but cowards, right?

racism is something a person does to a person in real life. this is the internet you have no idea who or what i am. this game is not a person LRMs are not a person mechs are not people. the only reason this person would inject this trash hoodoo is to dump on all the wrong thinker for the egregious crime of wrongthink like all the other social justice people who have nothing of worth to offer the world. racism is a thing done from one person to another. the thread should be locked and this person perma banned

He wasn't asked to leave, which could be could be construed as griefing. No, instead he asked "Do you want me to leave?" and someone took the trollbait and said "Yes". That means the LRMer was at fault for non-participation.
Sorry dude, 'your' wrong again.

...makes me want to run LRMs tonight.
I don't do it often, and I've never been griefed when I do, but maybe I'll get lucky tonight. I've never TKed any one with Lrms, but I'm willing to give it the ole college try if warranted.

LRM80 EBJ. If you're going to troll, don't be a lightweight and bring the firepower to smash someone with dumbfires.

Other than being a necro, imo no one hated on the lurmer. "Get your own locks" is a perfectly valid response that the lurmtato took badly.
Out of the two parties, its clear that the lurmer was the one being a passive aggressive ******
