He's not one of just a few, actually. He's right, the Purifier is just plain strong. 6ERML or 7SPL. Both rek.

Personally i think its better with 5 ERML than 6 - doesnt require you to use those incredibly low slung LA mounts and gives you an extra DHS to make use of the heat dissipation quirk. but yeah, Stronk. My favourite light right now.

Because most of the time said advantage is pointless because it always occurs on mech nobody play anyways? Like having 6 E Hardpoints on the MLX. Sounds great, until you realise that, unless you feel like using ERSLs, you are never going to have enough heatsinks to cool any decent energy build.

So what you're saying is you're OK with only people who will pay real money being allowed to have a Kit Fox that is half-viable. Screw everyone else, those cheap skates. They all get the garbo Kit Fox.

I leveled it with 5 to elite and added a 6th. With so much hill-humping and firing just the 4 in the torso, I don't find it makes a ton of difference in heat management, but you have a stronger alpha when you can use it.

That said, I run the 7SPL and ECM one much more now (yes, I have two...)

Question
How much MC does it cost?
Debating on how to spend my remaining MC
To save up for the MadKitty Mk2, or just win an event to get it...

I enjoy piloting the adder and shadow cat so my next adventure into the kit fox should be fun.

Not out for MC yet. Will be about 2815 when it is (1828 on 35% sale).

That explains why it's not on Smurfy....
Maybe for 1408

Smurfy has quite a lag on prices lately.

And I was right: 2815. https://mwomercs.com...hero-packs-faq/

I don't remember the last time we had a 50% sale, sadly.

I'm in no hurry
The HLL 3ERML one might interest me...assuming it's not molten hot.
Perhaps the current Hero debacle could also shift a few things. That would be nice (though, unlikely to open my wallet...it would need that and fewer bad new maps)

dual erppc's for a 35 ton mech is a lot of weight which means there is no tonnage for heatsinks and it will run extremely hot.

Why not? In the grand scheme of things, it's inconsequential because there are other chassis with c-bill variants better than it.

War Thunder, which has more players in a day than MWO in a month, does not seem to have a problem with premium-only vehicles. Why should a much smaller niche game?

I doubt that's actually the message being said.

The ADR runs is pretty nicely actually. Especially with velocity quirks, it plays well and isn't overwhelmingly hot. Put them in the STs, strip the arms and you have 16 DHS.

You lose the velocity quirks by doing so, as the Adder Prime variant with velocity quirks only has energy points on the LA and RA.

That's false. You get the quirks no matter where the guns are. I use those arms, I just don't put PPCs in them.

That is why I scratch my head on this matter.

The CERPPC velocity quirk is not a set of 8 quirk on the Adder.

The CERPPC velocity quirk is distributed between a set of 8-quirks on the Prime, and on each arm of the Prime themselves.

Quirks are applied globally on the mech and not by section (at least then it would limit the stuff you would do), which is why mixing and matching omnipods is a thing for min-maxing and not just expressing why some omnipods are more dominant/useful than others.

There are some set of 8 quirks on there though... heat gen maybe?

Set of 8 quirks include an ERPPC heat gen quirk (5%) and a ERPPC Velocity quirk (10%) for the Prime only.

Chances are I'd probably be willing to forgo those bonuses for better PPC placement in the side torsos. However, the stock omnipods for the Prime do add up a lot of bonuses for the CERPPC. Each side torso of the Prime adds 5% energy heat reduction.

It's more than I realized, all in. I feel like some of that may have moved to set-of-8 later. The difference between 20% and 30% velocity doesn't move me, but 15% heat gen is not nothing. I run my Cinder like this. I'd run a Prime like this. I know the convergence isn't as good (I ran it when they were new). One more DHS doesn't remotely cover that 15% heat gen, but I hate having no side I can show the enemy and how much more you have to expose. Nevertheless, I'll be setting my Pr(I) up and doing science. :D

Though, it does suck Clam Heroes are ~94 MC per ton, to the 75 of the Sphere

They're supposed to be balanced...but that's a joke
Almost 20% more expensive

All mechs should be equally useful, so why are lights so much cheaper than assaults? Ever looked at champion pricing? I abandoned looking for sense here long ago, I'm just glad I favor skinny mechs.
