Well after i finished the event I tried to play some more battles playing lights carrying cells...

In one battle maybe I made someone happy, I delivered one cell, made nearly 300dmg and got killed carrying a 2nd cell as last survivor of my team.

But in the other battle I got killed by multiple enemies lasering me to death while I tried to picking up a cell in my Jenner IIC.
So... maybe these guys were already lucky or not so clever...

PGI, gotta say that this isn't your finest event. Putting out the new gamemode was great and it's fun when I get it, but when not all maps are compatible with the mode it makes it damn near impossible to get it to come up. Please make it more common if you're going to make it a requirement for a challenge.

I give up, got work tomorrow.

I got allot out of this event so it's not a wast but no way I could finished with my work schedual and the match maker suddenly giving me bulk conquest matches on my one day off.

Not a bad event to break in the new game mode but building a entire event around one game mode is something to avoid in the future.

Had a match where my team allowed me in my Nanuq and a centurion to break into the enemy base and wreck house. They sold their lives well.

Also Nanuq is love, Nanuq is life.

Man isn't it ironic
Struggled all weekend to fix all challanges, after alot of struggle i did manage.

Then decided to lvl locust v1 with the single lpl, first incursion game i got into, i got battery carrier by accident without even trying.
Maybe that's the secret, don't try to hard like i always tend to do and just go with the flow...
The first day i died so many times overextending trying to get that kill, now when i didn't need it i got it... Oh well.

It's plenty fun to grab fuel cell rush into enemies and kill circling untl someone gets a kill. Alot of the times the enemies almost kill their own teammates in their rush to kill the squirrel. :P

But atleast i make em work for it but still give em the chance. Just go straight in and die is abit rude twards your own teammates though.

The main real problem with Delivery Failed, besides the Incursion game mode being so infrequent, is you have to specifically KILL the fuel cell carrier, instead of Kill or KMDD like the others are. If it was Kill or KDMM, instead of kill ONLY, it would be much better I think.

Are you unable to comprehend that it's not about the mechbay? It's frustration that people can't even try. They have to slog through 6 matches in other modes before they can even hava a small chance. Then no one will pick upp a fuel cell or people won't play as intended or simply go out of their way to troll their fellow players in order to remove the already miniscule chance.

There are a lot of people who want to complete it just to avoid a red x. I don't care about the mechbay, I have bought stuff from PGI. When I need a mechbay I'll buy it, simple as that. Hell just let me complete and you can keep your mechbay.

If the event gets extended I will try to log in and give away a few battery kills. Sadly did not get an incursion match since I finished the challenge yesterday. Took me about 4 hours to do so.

Ok, almost done all of them, only real problem is the Delivery Failed. I'm pretty sure i've killed a stormcrow with battery icon on HUD (apparently a battery carrier) and yet no info about delivery failed and event site doesn't show that one completed, what the hell?

It'll take 1 hour before ur event page will update.
If u've not gotten it by then, then ye wth :/

This is also one reason i usualy always try to record all my matches, esp during events. So i can go back to double check and / or show others etc incase it's needed.

ok that Event sucks for one good reason: we don´t even got the choice of the game mode we played today 8 matches and did not even got a single inclusion match!!!

So far i keep seeing bloody Locusts as carriers, picking up fuel cell , then running away before you can shoot them....

My focus has been on the Roughneck Leaderboard (with moderate success)

One good side-benefit of the "Incursion Challenge" is seeing a lot more lights in the other modes as well. Always a good thing for mixing up tactics.

As for bad play, I have only seen a few examples of out-of-the-ordinary stupid behaviour. The most baffling was someone deliberately suiciding when he was last man-standing, rather than making a stand defending the base.

Funny thing, i've seen today a lot more incursions matches than in the last 3 days in a row. Also somehow getting a kill or kmdd on Roughneck is harder than is sounds , because the damned things keep hiding, forcing your team to push....

Well 6 hours left and nothing on PGI side. I`m leaving for work again and honestly i doubt they will say anything about the almost 400 complaints on this thread by the time i'm back. Also for the curious, last tally on the event count:

- 75 incursions
- 8 / 9 challenges, still missing "Delivery Failed", which i will never get since i can't really play 24/7 anyway.

@ Event Thread---
Finished the Event here, but only because I got dragged in by a Drop Group that decided to stage it for me. I normally like to get these all done entirely with my own level of skills, and only broke down because I was on the threshold of insanity after numerous failed attempts. This unfortunately tells me one thing... PGI HAS FAILED AGAIN WITH SOMETHING ON AN EVENT... There was no real bearing for Skill to factor in on something that has way beyond too many Luck-Based Requirements... Just to give you a rundown, the following says it rather nicely...

PGI, there is only one thing I can tell you... QUIT MAKING THE MISTAKE OF BURYING AN EVENT CHALLENGE UNDER MULTIPLE LAYERS OF LUCK. You only hurt your Public Reputation and your $$$ Flow, and I know you HATE to do that to yourselves. :angry:


Now, everyone, excuse me while I go and do something to blow off this overload of anger boiling within me. It was bloody hard to keep it from pouring into this post, while still pouring the simple truth into this post at the same time. Heck, 'Event Rating'? Sure, why not. Only '6/10' this time. Why? PGI screwed up an Event Challenge, and enraged the Community. -_-

Have to say overall I enjoyed the Incursion games and the event rewards were good - lots of MC only items - just stressful to get due to the inability to play the mode. A few points though - it was ridiculously easy to kill the base and almost impossible to stop people doing it if they were willing to die to do it. I get that the primary defense should be our own mechs but at that point you're suddenly playing defensive and I can't see that working as you all play defensive or split the team. Secondly, the timers on picking up cells were very frustrating. Lastly, all the items except radar seemed fairly useless. Despite those things it was REALLY nice to see lots of lights in the queue.
