Now Im one of the cheapskates I've only bought a hand full of weapon mods, and the must have Mech Mod. All bought pre 2/17. I have 31 mechs I use those Mods on. Im not all that salty about the new skill tree, I figure I'll just sell all my mods the night before the New skill tree is added if things stay the way they are. I'll take 50% of my cbills back. Its better then GSP I Have enough GXP to deal with the New skill tree. I don't have enough C-bills to deal with the 50+ million c-bill cost of all the new equipment I will want to buy in July.

So basically, if you want c-bills your going to need to sell your mods. Don't be greedy about it 50% is a lot better then nearly nothing(GSP).

I was just on the test server. It didn't look like I was paying c-bills for my skill node choices so getting GXP back instead of C Bills does not seem to be an issue.

ha ha ha lol rofl.... sniff ... cbill economy.

aneeeewaays. the only economy in this game is time vested. the modules and mechs and weapons represent total time vested.

with that said. compensation should be a fair value for time invested to aquire the module. in my mind it should be player preference

cbills or xp depending on what the player values more. as far as cbills upsetting the economy. there is no economy so theres no way any amount of a cbill influx will negatively effect anything.

cbills is a grind mechanic. not a economic tool.

Blame the cheapskates in the community for this one. The guys who never modules up whined it wasn't fair.

I would just like to state that I've been playing this game since the Friends and Family beta and even though I don't have an absurd amount of mechs like the whales, I've never bought a single module.

Cry moar.

PGI and other people have this somewhat broken idea that we have some sort of "economy".

We simply don't have one though. It's not like we can sell mechs or buy them at a cheaper cost. What exactly is it trying to solve?

Should I just point to that infamous quote used back in justifying the 12v12 reward change?

"We thought you were earning too much."

How has no one in this thread mentioned that December 3rd 2016 and February 8th 2017 are not the same day ?

Much like game design, PGI do not know what an economy is.

"These General Skill Points can be consumed to unlock Skill Nodes for any 'Mech you wish without needing to spend the usual 45,000 C-Bill and 800 XP cost associated with purchasing a standard Skill Point directly"

You get your value back w/o ruining the cbill economy of the game, which is a good move IMO.

You know your mastered mechs will also get back all their own 91 skill points back from the current mech tree... right?

Your mastered mechs will have no use for those refunded GSP to become mastered again.

So tell me... what I'm gonna do with the mountain of GSP (more than 30000) i'm getting instead of the cbills I spent?... shove them up my a$$?... I can't even do that... PGI is taking all the room in there.

It was Feb 8th, now the cut-off is Dec 3rd, the date they first announced refunds in the roadmap.

I apologize for not putting modules in mechs I don't plan on using long term.
Sorry for being a #cheapskate.

He was referring to those with hundreds of mechs but only 4-6 modules total.

I have won 5 or 6 modules from supply caches so was it a sham after all? Well dang that bites I win some cool prizes that will not be honor that makes the supply caches look even more like a big sham then what was being said. I could be wrong on this and I do apologize, but is it not breaking some Candian regulation on prizes, that might have something to do with the Competition Act? The cbill thing is going to piss off a good chunk of the player base as it is, but on top of that sticking it to players that have won supply cache prizes or paid for them in mech packs wow nice job.

All they need to do is allow everyone that so chooses to sell all their modules back for full purchase price prior to the Skill Tree patch going live. That way those that want C-Bills will get them and those that are happy with the new system will get the GSP. Simple solution.

Don't say a word

Rus is gonna buy you a badly designed game

If that game game isn't fun

Sucks to be you, cheapskate

I own one seismic sensor, one radar deprivation, and one target decay module, and 5 modules for 5 different weapon bonuses. I've been playing the game since September of last year.

I am a complete cheapskate. And I am getting rewarded for my decision under this demented refund logic by not investing heavily into modules. Holy hell, I feel terrible for those who did buy modules by the boatload.

I think i'm completely screwed now. I literally started playing the game in Feb of this year. I since them I've accrued 46 modules not including the consumables.

Thats a LOT of gxp i put into the past 3 months.

I just bought the $70 uzil and $40 anni like 3 hours ago...this makes me want to pull my money back

Why don't they treat everyone equal up till this date? Or at least till the release?
