So, I have all the mechs mastered now, and when this goes live... I will be able to re master all those same mechs, and I wont need anything additional to do so. But, I have over a billion cbills worth of modules that are suddenly going to be converted to skill points, which I don't need, because, mastered already. Are we following along?

Currently have a billion cbills worth of modules equipped on mechs.

Will soon have thousands of Skill point vouchers I have no use for.

And you are telling me nothing is lost? SMH

nah you wont have skill point vouchers. instead youll sell your modules for a fraction of their value in cbills and just feel bitter and cheated.

I WANT C-BILLS. THIS MEANS MORE ENGINES AND MORE MECHS.

I do NOT give a damn about SKILL POINTS.

Correct. I'll have enough GSP, HSP, GXP, XP, LOLCOPPTERXP, WTFBBQXP.

I've unlocked everything, most of my mechs have 200,000XP+ sitting there doing nothing. I do not NEED anymore XP that will take me 2-3 years to burn through.
I NEED the cbills back to purchase mechs/engines.

Failed, again. I just cannot believe it. Is it really, that, hard?

Let me see if I can break it down for you.

You go to your local burger joint and order a burger and fries. You add cheese. YOU PAY. The joint is out of cheese. Instead of refunding you for the cost of the cheese, the joint gives you an extra bun. You don't need the bun, you already have the bun, you want the cheese, you paid for the cheese....you would want your money back to!

There is nothing complicated or mind-blowing about this.

GTFO ------------------------------>

How dare you bring sense and logic to such a discussion.

Russ takes the bun, for sure.

ok let me explain this to you in a way even you can understand.

I have a founders atlas. it has like 2 million xp stored up on it.

it has I dunno, lets say 10 million in modules on it.

so PGI is going to steal my 10 million in modules and give me GXP instead. but I already have 2 million XP on my atlas.

So how does that GXP have any value whatsoever when I can already buy the skill tree with the 2 million stored XP on my atlas?

but I already have tons of excess GXP too. I dont need more GXP or SP or whatever GXP is being renamed to.

Extra SP is of no help to me. SP are not cbills. I cant spend them like cbills. what I want are cbills.

I am going to sell my modules if you dont give me cbills. one way or another ill get my cbills. but I would rather have more cbills and feel square than less cbills and feel cheated. my wallet feels the same way.

Well you can do that if you really want. then you will get a big boost of C-bills now to buy new weapons or use on future skill ups.

Basically the Module points are Future mechs leveled for free. GXP will help you unlock nodes on future mechs, Or when respecting something you have not played much.

I wanted my modules refunded personally. I would use it on leveling the mechs i owned. But seeing all my leveled mechs will be maxed, I guess future free leveling is better than nothing. I can see why they don't want to give every mastered mech max level, AND give people back a billion credits with nothing to spend it on but mechs as a way that could break their economy.

Again, way to f#$k up PGI. LOVE GETTING BENT OVER! 12,000,000 cbill's for module's when i have more than that!
When are you people going to pull your heads out of your a$#es!
I swear pgi puts more effort into screwing up, than improving!

I don't get why they didn't just do a 1:1 refund and ditch the asinine cbill cost from node unlocks. Cbills is for equipment, xp for skills. FFS its not that hard. This version of refund doesn't **** me over anymore but its still... just done wrong.

The amount of salt in this thread is going to turn the potatoes into salty french fries...

I know where I stand on this and I agree with only one side on this. So in the meantime....

Now this I support. I dislike the idea of spending C-Bills on skills, it's pretty darn stupid. I don't care how much XP they cost (within reason) or how much XP it costs to respec them (again, within reason), but having to pay C-Bills for the privilege really irks me.

you realize the only reason skills cost cbills now is so PGI can claim theyre compensating us for stealing our cbills and turning them into skill points which would cost cbills?

Except they cost C-Bills before this change, in the last 2 iterations, so that's obviously an incorrect assumption?

Chiming in here because mass freakout seems to be the only way to make PGI listen to the community.

If you are removing an item from the game, I expect to be fully refunded for the removed item in the exact currency that I used to purchase said item.

Anything less, and you're giving me reason to leave this game on account of you being a mediocre cheapskate.

The only way to make this fair for everyone, is to take away some of the weapons, engines and mechs purchased by players that skipped buying module's. Then convert those items cbill value to another form of xp ( let's call it Swapxp) that has to be a spent on nodes each time they play diffrent mech so we can sit in the lobby like we always have waiting for someone to cheap to buy modules to swap them around.

We have all earned our c bills. So people have bought module's some have bought mechs others weapons and engines. If PGI removes one players items from the game it is only fair they recieve a full cbill refund for the removed items.

Well if it's xp I can spend across all my mechs I suppose its okay. I assume that equaling my master stats will take the xo needed to get there and equaling the modules (which I rarely shift between mechs) will give me the xp to equal the modules.

I hope.

so basically this whole mess is your fault.

I didn't give birth to PGI, nor am I responsible for the decisions they make. Only they are to blame. So no, I'm not. PGI is at fault.

Why?

Because™.

Ah, PGI... just when I thought they had achieved peak stupidity, they go and do something like this.

Why? Why can't they just refund everyone a pile of cbills or whatever they want and be done with it? Heck, make it a choice - and stop pretending this game has some actual economy that would be "ruined" if a lot of players became space-rich. Space-rich players are more likely to buy mechs vs. poor players.

Unreal...
