Um, so, don't you need folks playing CW for that?
4.1 has only been in place for what 4 months and already the CW forums have commentary from the regulars referring to increasing wait times and lack of population. So is Tuk-3 PGI's big plan to get people interested in CW again?
Ok, consider the last two attempts at such an effort. Did it work? No.
Now, consider the relative populations playing both times as compared to now.
What am I missing here?
How about instead of another Tukyidd, you instead do what you said you were going to do back in January and focus your efforts at giving your game the "frequent weekend events" focused on Clan v Clan and IS v IS as promised...hmm?
Cmon, Bud... Programming's hard, remember ?? Tuk 3, all ya really gotta do is change the number on the sign from the last one and call it an event.. (Although how that's gonna work with the TOW system they've put in since and only two days notice... is anybody's guess.).

Yeah but that video they posted...clearly some serious planning and development work went into reusing RL news clips and editing them to look like they took place in the alternate universe of their game. Hell, I wish they would put as much effort into CW as they did for that video. The sad part is...I'm not even being sarcastic.

Sadly I have to keep it 4 year old son appropriate... so lots of lego star wars shows... maybe some clone wars if he's wants to try it. After he goes to bed, well then it's time for Rouge One.

In Lore, the Battle for Tukkayid and thus Terra and the heart of the Inner Sphere happened at the beggining of May, 3052. PGI is pandering to me, that is all.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the Battle for Luthein or some such as well sometime, but I cannot fault them for going Full Lore on me.

Sure, but if we have already had that battle...TWICE...maybe put a whiff of effort in and just call it something else? No? Asking for too much lore?
Meh...just like everything else lately...just, meh.

Ahem, seeing how old I am I know a good arcade game when I see one, and Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga is one of the best I have ever played. Like, really. And if anything Tuk will start Friday, which is the day after that, and run at least for the whole weekend. Plenty of fun time for both of you, I say

You guys...
Just... WOW..
I just can't believe the saltiness that's going on here.. You guys are so bitter and self-involved in your own petty little bitterness..
Oh nooz, another "I lost" cockpit item!
Oh nooz, Clans OP!
Oh nooz, this Tuk is just as crappy as the first two!
Oh nooz, Skill tree will suck, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with the upcoming event!
Oh nooz, PGI bad! Hate PGI, kill it with fire!
SERIOUSLY?!?
You guys are bashing and beating on literally THE BEST event this game has ever had!
An event that gave you all a bunch of free mechs, cockpit items, and enough cbills on average to buy another assault mech!
An event that is THE ONLY sense or lore immersion this game has!
An event that is the crowning jewel of this game's gameplay!
The only event where tactics, teamwork and actually WINNING mean more than cbills and individual glory!
The event that is the most fun many players have ever had in MWO?!
WOW.
I guess some of you really deserve the title "bittervet", or should I say "sourpuss"
Some people are clearly never happy, and I really don't understand why if you can't say something positive, sometimes you don't just keep your noisehole shut..
If you don't wanna play in the event, the game mode, or the game itself.. just don't.
No need to be so bloody negative and salty about it!
---On to brighter topics---
I have a feeling that this Tukayyid is a nice event meant to wrap up FW as a whole, one last, final time.
After this, the civil war is coming, with it's own big events and who knows what else.
New tech, new skills, whole different game..
But never again the shiver of a wolf's howl down your spine as you draw first blood..
Never again the glee in seeing that omega go up in flames, knowing your Faction's glory is on the rise.
Never again will the greatest of the great meet on the blood and machine oil soaked streets of Brzo and Skupo to determine the fate of the whole Inner Sphere.
This event will, for me personally, bring with it a sense of sadness.. It's the end of an era.. Literally and figuratively..
After this.. nothing will be the same.
Long live the Children of Kerensky! Long live the Inner Sphere!
Seyla!!

It seems you haven't read the majority of the posts in this thread. Most of the community voicing their lack of enthusiasm for a third Tukayyid does so because the first two were kind of a mess. The first was fun for lore junkies, the second was supposed to fix issues and it didn't. Unless PGI has done a lot of changes, a third one doesn't have much to offer for those who have played the previous two.
