I've been trying to spread word but mostly I've gotten the reaction of "I already know this game because I'm the absolute master of everything". A few people have been receptive and thanked me but don't comment - in THIS thread or any other. What would you recommend to participants? In my original OP I gave it until the next patch announcement. Given how this has tapered off, I see no reason to go that long other than to allow people who care to try, to attract like/commentary. But yeah, next patch announcement or thereabouts ought to do it. People are already, as you suggest indicating that they know best and are not interested in sharing their wisdom, that the change is either no big deal and don't see what the hubub is about and see no reason to post, are irritated to to point of not caring, or just don't have the time...so I don't expect many more entrants. At least I can give time -and reminders- for those of you who put in the effort to finish the job and get some likes.

Yeah. I meant though - what would you recommend to bring people to the forums and see these guides? I usually just ask if they would like help or to check it out and offer feedback - for new players and veterans alike.

Beats me. I put the index together in an effort to help folks who were intersted in actually reading the contet you all posted. The order or frequency of a post on that index was not something I considered in terms of the contest...until now...damn it. Oh well.

Actually, you have to count both my post in this thread and my separate thread. Because of it's incredible length I decided to create make my own - with approval from Bud first. Combine the two and tell me what my ranking is? Either way, being in the top 10 is adequate. Posted Image

Also how many comments they got!

After testing a bit more on the testing grounds (I'm not in the mood of playing right now. Maybe after new tech arrives...) I've found that some things on my "guide" are not really useful, so I changed it...

I did some Jump Jet tree testing with full Mobility Executioner. Four Class I Jump Jets and MASC. Didn't measure time, only jump distance. Presented results are not literal and will obviously vary from mech to mech:

1. Full Mobility tree Executioner without any point in Jump Jet tree.

Horizontal jump distance when standing still: 10m (in-game meters)
Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 100m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 130m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 80m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 100m
Vertical jump height when standing still: over 35m

2. Full Mobility tree Executioner with eight points in Jump Jet tree(Heat Shielding 1, Vent Calibration 5, Lift Speed 2):

Horizontal jump distance when standing still: 10m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 115m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 150m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 90m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 110m
Vertical jump height when standing still: around 40m

3. Full Mobility tree Executioner with nine points in Jump Jet tree(Heat Shielding 1, Vectoring 5, Lift Speed 3):

Horizontal jump distance when standing still: 40m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 105m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 140m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 80m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 105m
Vertical jump height when standing still: below 35m

4. Full Mobility tree Executioner with full Jump Jet tree:

Horizontal jump distance when standing still: 40m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 120m
Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 160m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed: 90m
(Rear) Horizontal jump distance at full speed with MASC: 120m
Vertical jump height when standing still: around 40m


Forgot to list vertical jump height values at full speed(+MASC), but in general they were around 110-120% of "standing still" values.
