Before a few days ago I constantly saw Victors and Tibbers...oh wait that was me playing either one of them ^_^
Just wait about 8 weeks and you will see them again.

The Timberwolf has been over ever since the Night Gyr. The Night Gyr jumps better, has more weapon space, higher mounts, and no negative quirks. It also weighs the same, so in spite of being significantly slower, it's overall performance is much higher. My Night Gyr handles beautifully now. Just don't be dumb and take survival skills on mechs with no armor/structure quirks. Go at least 28 nodes in mobility and your clan mechs will dance like ballerinas.

With the desync of engine, it now twist its torso like an 75` old man, and left with a oversize engine which take away the available tonnage, i guess it is time to switch to something else, perhaps a night gyr?

You DO realize that there are torso twist speed nodes you can unlock, right?

As I stated before, they are insufficient for the TBR or they are bugged. Pilots like a brick with complete unlocked agility tree. GG PGI.

To be fair, the Timberwolf was always a fat slob until you unlocked Elite. It was one of the most painful mechs to skill up before. No surprise at all it's the same now.

Of course i do. But then we dont need a fatty XL375 to unlock those nodes. I can mount a XL300 on another 75 toner, unlock the node, and get the same torso twisting, but saving 11 tons (yes! 11 tons, it is 15.5 vs. 26.5), all you give up is some speed and turning.....the fatty XL375 provides too little benefit for the 11 tons (compare to XL300) it have eaten...

Is there a spreadsheet somewhere that shows how turn/torso rates were affected?

LMFAO since when was this iteration of mechwarrior ever remotely close to battletech, i guess maybe back in closed beta when they made a million promises they never intended to keep?

ive long said MWO doesnt deserve the btech tag

This is exactly what we get when PGI listens to people who like nothing more than an eSports-centric generic stompy robot game with BattleTech skins. Sigh!

An SRM Timberwolf has a 72 alpha, tightly grouped missile hardpoints and good hitboxes. It is still the best heavy brawler in the game, and the lightest assault that has a chance against it is the SRM Cyclops. The Timberwolf will be fine.

Bingo. I KNEW I couldn't have been the only person to think that.

Side-note: I finally tried Living Legends a few days ago, and after getting used to the gameplay mechanics I realized that it's what MWO should've been all along. At least MWLL has no misconceptions about the kind of game it's trying to be, and it clearly has more love for the source material than MWO as well as more respect for its playerbase... as little as it is.

That being said, I do still play MWO since it's actually quite fun (QP, not FP) but make no mistake - it's not a good representation of MechWarrior let alone Battletech. After getting MW3 and MW4: Mercenaries to work on my PC using dgvoodoo 2 and playing them again for the first time in over a decade, I realized just how off MWO is. Of course, Battletech will take a lot of my time when it releases too (I've started a new MekHQ Against the Bot campaign in anticipation.)

I will say that MWO's saving grace is that it has the best mech piloting mechanics of any MW game by far at least for keyboard and mouse.

The Madcat was suppossed to be the pinnacle of clan tech and a mech that caused fear on the battlefield. What PGI has done to the mech is an absolute travesty and just another example of PGI not knowing wtf they are doing. Its quite sad actually.

you realize unlocking them does almost nothing, right?

its percentage based. so if your agility is garbage to begin with. its still garbage even after you increase it by 20%

thats why PGI screwed up engine decoupling big time. because the skill trees dont give you back anywhere near what you lost.

PGI PLEASE FIX MY TBR-C-S steam pack mech? The poor dammm thing has no acceleration or deceleration and does 10kph tops?
wont stop after you get it up to 10kph just rolls on and on no stopping.

Thank god its the only mech I have skilled up that is totally broken I deactivated all 23 skill points and its still broken thanks for the C-bill sink this dammm skill tree and patch has brought upon us.

Plus your servers are dead from lag and crashes not to mention my FPS has dropped into the trash can after this great patch.

MWO patch result below

Tbr is fine, but you have to play it like a TBR....speed and guns are your strengths use them. She isn't a tank....focus on agile, speed, then firepower and you will be alright.
