So do these guys get banned for synch dropping onto opposite teams and being in the same guild?

Is blatant match fixing aloud? Yes the were blatantly giving friendly locations to opposite team.

What is group queue for then?

I wont mention the name of the guild because I got in trouble or that already I am proud to say. :)

What? There is a group queue why are they synch dropping into regular queue AND why are they giving friendly location to other team?

I asked everyone to send complaint as I did.

If it wasn't them then being in same guild made it look like it was them.... and it still doesn't explain why they are synch dropping into regular queue.

Oh boy, HackUZeee strikes again with a brand new bunch of accuZations.

Zis story translates into english as: "I have no friends. Please ban everyone who has friends."

What does this have to do with synch dropping to fix matches?

Sometimes it just happens when you have 30 people online playing QP to test Skills meeting a unit mate isnt that rare sometimes on my team sometime on enemy. If they are on the enemy press record then hunt and kill them so you can troll them on unit forums :)

OK honestly, I have thought that few people in here forums have been "too" mean to you lately but this topic... ftw really? This is beyond stupid.

What you're actually seeing when this happens is when folks in the same guild want to slum it and are just solo dropping and the MM just happens to put them on the same or opposing teams because people in the same guild tend to be in the same PSR bracket so the MM will happily plop 'em against eachother to balance a team PSR out, and they are generally not on comms or coordinating in any way, no one is bored enough to actually try to sync drop in the yolo Q.

This happens a lot with us 'cause sometimes you don't want to go to the group queue and team up, but me and my mates are still playing MWO at the same time.

If you're getting rekt in this sort of situation rest assured it's not COLLUSION, your team is just bad.

QP Event going on in case you missed it.

What is your fix for this imagined grand conspiracy? Only allow one person from a unit or one group from a unit drop in solo or group queue at a time?

You do understand that some Units have members over 1? Maybe Units LIKE to form groups and drop? Maybe they like to form small group as they are easier to manage? Maybe, just maybe, they want to avoid the weight penalty for larger groups?

You know what, I am getting real tired of all the non unit members sync dropping against me. Every drop, there are unguilded on the enemy team and they are sync dropping against me, make them stop! They are cheating, hacking! All those unguilded sync dropping are fixing matches!!!

Dunno if it's related, but my team and I were having trouble getting into the group queue a few times in the last week and sync dropping on Oceanic as a result.

Are you certain they were giving away map positions? That seems....really odd and pointless.

Mods,

I formally request that this thread be pinned.
It is at a whole new level, of...something...and deserves a permanent place of honor.

I've occasionally seen members of my unit on the opposing team when we've been PUGing outside of peak hours.

In those cases, it's usually the opposite of collusion ... we either ignore each other or have fun actively trying to kill each other.

We would never give away competitive information to help the other team win.

I'm not in a unit ("guild" ... seriously? Posted Image), but it's the same for me with friends.

Helping the "other" team win would be completely pointless to begin with.
Which team? His or mine?
Why one and not the other?
What would be gained for the two "allied" players by winning ONE quickplay PUG match? Especially if one of them gets a defeat as a result of the cooperation?
Why would we set up such an additional coordination effort just to get one of us a definite defeat?
You don't even know who you're gonna end up with, so it's not even possible to, say, try to ruin one particular player's fun or something like that.

Nothing about such a suspicion makes sense.

It's actually quite the opposite: If I see a friend in my team, we're happy to play together by chance. If he's in the opposite team, then the fun is even greater Posted Image.

So this thread is 100% a classic example of

Unit mates in the same qp games happens. Quite a lot for my unit (5ssp) actually. We're a pretty big unit and most of us only play oceanic prime time so it's pretty frequent to see unit mates on opposing teams.

Not sure about which unit you dropped with and whether they really DID collude to pad score, but speaking personally, i'd be pretty offended if a unit mate on the opposing team tried something like that with me around. I don't need anyone to help me pad my stats and no one in 5ssp needs that either. Hell, i think we take a certain perverse joy in beating one another in qp.

I don't think we're unique in that aspect either. I mean if it's unit vs unit, whatever the outcome, the unit wins. Often the only thing i notice when this happens is some friendly pre-drop banter then it's business as usual, may the best pilot win, blah blah blah.

The members of the same guild probably challenged eachother to a 1v1 at a certain grid position and Mr. Z here once again leapt to an unfounded conclusion that this counts as giving away team positions

I have fought against unit members in quick drops before. Our unit trains with others and has friends in other units...

We usually team up but fighting each other happens for a lot of medium or large sized groups. Join a unit with more than 25-50 members and it occurs sooner or later.

Wait...so if two units drop against each other and the greater number is on the losing team then does it mean the unit sucks? I hope not, I have seen some top tier units end up fighting each other with the smaller concentration of them winning. Argh! There goes the theory of the OP!

yeah no guilds here. No elf ears either so we have units instead.

I end up sometimes against my own unit members on the opposing team in QP. namely for some reason CHRX seems to drop against me quite frequently. No matter. No quarter is given, we do not avoid each other and sure as **** we aint giving out anything. I play to win, so does he if we have to fight each other so be it. I excpect no freebies and none are given, if anything i fight even harder to kill him.
