Nuked City, no river no bs just pure close nit brawling, in a irradiated urban environment.

Do we need new maps? Yes.

But I strongly disagree with the "No symetrical arena maps". HPG is problably one of my favorite maps because it is symmetrical. Hell, even well-done asym would be nice, like Canyon. But asymetrical *to the exclusion of all else*? That's just asking for trouble. We need more *good* maps in general, not just ones pandering to your thought process.

Also, nuke map. Yes please.

Shipyard sounds interesting, but a Nuked City would violate lore due to the Ares Conventions banning the use of nukes on planetary targets. Edo Bay was done by Jade Falcon out of frustration that the other clans jumped all over them for being wasteful and destructive.

I have to read up on I don't have the books since most my money went into getting the new star wars novels so I'll check up sarna about it. Yea I though up a few ideas where maps can have a nice theme to it.

There are plenty of nuked city ruins left over from Succession Wars, I bet. Also, Edo was Smoke Kitty's job, and they used capital ships' guns, not nukes.

That's cool. The Ares Convention was signed after the First Succession war by all the houses because the destruction was so bad that it made quite a few planets uninhabitable.

How about a factory for a map?

Meaning there are plenty of nuked cities to fight in, yes?

A planet being uninhabitable does not preclude it from being a strategically significant location.

I stand corrected on the clan that did it, but the last time a nuke was used was during the First Succession War. Planets that got nuked are now uninhabitable and no one goes there now. Whatever factories or strategic resources that were on the planet are lost.

Once they became uninhabitable the planet lost its strategic significance, especially when there are inhabited planets nearby.

Location itself is a strategic resource. Being uninhabited can also be one, as would be the "nobody goes there" reputation.

You see, this is what pisses me off about this game the most. So much wasted potential on unexplored concepts from the battle tech universe. Even stuff that PGI could rehash from older titles would spring up some life back into the game again.

I would really love to see a map where the entire battlegrounds take place on a space ship in orbit. Similar to the mission in MW2:GBL where you had to defend a dropship but on a larger scale. Heck, even a giant orbiting space station or ship yard (like you stated) would be semi interesting at least.

In regards to a nuked city... Pretend there is a Helm Core there if you must satisfy your "moar lore". Or you can pretend the WOBbies got started early. But pure city fight is always fun.

Cheers!

I would love to see a bombed out city to fight in. I know similar but not the same as nuked. ;)

I seen that video and it would be awesome, I feel they should let loose at times in bring something amazing they have the talent it's just so restricted and in the box.

Also the only map i think they pulled from another game is River City based off of the one in MA 1&2, and I think Terra Therma too. But yea thinking outside the box or adding some grand classic maps from older titles would help alot.

Another one no one brings up.

Peaceful farm world, beautiful, lush, wide open.

I'd like a large, flat, dense urban map with narrow streets and tall buildings.

I mean, sure, but the lore doesn't cover every nook and cranny of every conflict. It's just exposition. Posted Image
