For each one it's ok.
I'd pay a little more to have the variant I'm interest in.
Meanwhile, what is the point, for me, to buy 3 o more variant, if I know I'll end to play only with THAT one?
It is a pain having to wait 1 year for c-bill release.... but ok, if this is the only way...
Strange pgi is not interest in my wallet, tho

I'd buy a la carte, even if a little more expensive.
Instead of 20-25 $ for the pack, I'd spend 5-8$ for the variant I know I'm going to use, so, for me, it would be far less expensive than 20-25$, with mechs I know I'll never drop with.

So, please be quiet and buy another mech pack.

I'd like pgi would set customers free.
If you like to "catch'em all", do it.
But what about letting me to buy a la carte the variant I'd like to play with, WITHOUT having to wait 1 year for c-bill release?
Both would gain: me, having fun, and pgi having my money.

That's a big 'Nope' from me and many other players.
Edit - the near certain routine of waiting to nerf mechs that you've purchased the moment they become available for CBills is also irritating as hell. PGI's put forth an established policy that people who buy mechs get to enjoy them during their 'glory days' before they're whacked with a nerf bat to the curb. That's the other issue of their sales design I don't agree with.

You thought PGI would change their skill model and think to come up with complimentary revenue streams?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
BTW, what do you think will happen when PGI runs out of interesting mechs to sell?

First, I see alot in those packs that I would be interested in buying but they are scattered all across the packs and I am not buying an entire Basic + Reinforcement pack just to get the 1 variant I am interested in.
Two, where is the premium time? Seriously this is important at least to me. I mean one of the reason I bought so many packs in the past was because I could always justify the $20 investment by saying to myself, "well I am only paying like $8 for all this because the premium time is worth $12.00 alone". This combined with the fact I don't actually need 3 chassis makes it much, much harder to justify the expense.
As it stands now, it is just hard to justify the expense, in fact the only REAL reason I can justify to myself is for the early access and while that is decent motivation, it isn't enough to make something an instant buy like it used to be.

This is a factor for me as well. I am looking up there at those mechs and can't help but see where PGI will eventually end up going. The Nightstar has the potential to be the IS version of the Marauder IIC as far as its performance is concerned and we already know that PGI has the Marauder IIC in its sights for yet another nerf. I am terrible afraid to put down money on a mech that I know will likely eventually have the agility of 95 ton brick because you know that is where they will eventually go with it. Also the Nova Cat will easily be be at the same power levels of a Night Gyr most likely and it too is in PGI sights for a Nerf as well so you can pretty much bet the Nova Cat will be graced with bad performance at some point as well.

I'll agree with the premium time for basics being a good nudge in buying the basic packs. I bought the Rifleman and Warhammer basic packs a month apart to spread out the premium time. Now that it's gone, I'm more hesitant to make additional purchases. Only reason I'm getting the Uziel is because my brother gifted me the money for it.
However the various variants that are desirable being scattered across the packs makes perfect business sense to me.
I think if they were going to do an a la carte version, it would likely be more expensive, but hopefully get a little cheaper as you add mechs. Actually that makes a lot more sense. If they did an a la carte system where you create your own mech pack, picking and choosing, but ultimately paying a little more for the convenience. It might be more profitable for them. But they're not going to let you cherry pick the best for the same price. That's just bad business model.

It's not needed anymore to level.
SO, I'm interest in buying ONE Novacat, 2 Osiris (one basic, + in add on), and 1 Artic Wolf.
So, with 5-6 $ per mech, I would give 20-25$ from my wallet.
Instead with this system, PGI willl gain ZERO $ from me.
And both of us, me and pgi, will be disappointed....
(in my country there is a proverb saying: "Who wants too much, will have nothing")
P.G.I won't change this style of purchase, until it makes them less money, why should they change anything, all the time people won't wait for C-bill release or in the case of the Hero MC

Issue I have is they don't give you prem time anymore unless you get a collectors pack I have never wanted. I have yet to buy any new pack due to this.
If you look at the older mech packs when they DID offer A LA Carte... just one mech chassis didn't get you any premium time either and cost $35. So how exactly is the current system of $40 with 30 days really that bad ? If you REALLY need premium time you're better off going to the gift store page and just buying one of the mech bundles which for as little as $13 (the locust pack) you get three mechs, three bays, 30 days of premium time, and sometimes a cockpit stature item. 30 days of premium time alone is $12 on the store page. So ONE WHOLE DOLLAR MORE for 900MC of bays and three mechs which if you don't want...can be sold for C-bills.

Honestly, tough crap. the company need to make money, Selling mechs is how this game does it. If you just want one mech, then wait for it to come out for C-bills. This is a non-issue.

I lol even more than you because, if their purpose is to make money, they are not making a single cent with me in this way!
Not going to buy mechpack.

But I want to give $ to pgi, ...a la carte!
They doesn0t need my money a la carte?
Ok, I'll wait 1 year for c-bill release, if I'm still around here.
As you can see, it's pgi that's losing money, not me
