That is a fantastic argument to make your case, I'm sure a lot of people will back you up on it.

I don't know what else to say about it?
They're being used more and more as more people realize they are in fact OP, so I guess you might come to the same conclusion soon.
Ending up cored without being shot a single time just because maybe the red smoke was behind you so you didn't see it is ROYALLY pissing me off. Lurms don't even come close on the "what a fkn ******** game mechanic" scale.

One airstrike that happened to land in the same direction I was running oneshotted me in a Panther.

Two arty strikes very nearly straight out killed me now in an unskilled max armor warhammer 6r.

It's a load of bullcrap

Art strike can make the difference. There is a reason they're used often in comp play.

Of course there is nothing g wrong with this. They should " do something ".

So what you're saying is: somebody spent skill points to max out arty tree, spent 80000 cbills on "ammo", that can be used only once in a match, and landed TWO strikes right on top of you. And this shouldn't hurt you because why?

Right now arty/air strikes are in grate balance. They aren't OP, but finally they are also not utterly useless, AND not behind the paywall anymore.
Should I remid you they can be used only ONCE, and thay have big red smoke to let you run away from it (especially if you're light)? And every shot cost you a bunch of cbills? And also survival tree? They are not OP in any way.

Because it's ridiculous to be able to kill people behind cover like that. Aren't everyone complaining about how it takes no skill to use lurms? And this is so much worse than lurms

Probably because lrms, especially with a good spotter, can win you a game on polar or sulfur. Arty can't.
And if you hear somebody complaining about how lurms are OP, you should ask them politely, yet firmly to git gud. Lurms are the most easily countered weapon system in the entire game. And they takes skill to use them right. Same goes for lasers. You literally point, click ans instahit, takes zero skill to use, takes skill to use properely.

Arty can't kill people behind cover, because you need line of sight to drop the red smoke. And it's costly. And it's one shot. And bunch of other drawbacks I mentioned above.

"Unskilled" is the keyword here to describe you.. No single arty/air strike can kill anyone in one hit who is fully armored. Its more likely that you are lying and you happened to have no armor left when the strike hit you. Go away now.

Thanks, hadnt thought of that. I'll just keep working on evolving my spider sense for the cases where i'm in heat or night vision, or the smoke is behind me, etc.

You seem to be mixing up my statements there.
But yeah, fully skilled, full survival tree Panther died in one airstrike.

Unskilled warhammer almost died in two arty strikes

It takes 4 points to max strikes out. I guess I'll just jump on the bandwagon.

It's a skill and cbills investment just to use. So sure, go ahead if you have the spare resources.i use it on all my fire support mechs, it's entirely your choice

He said his light mech was killed in one hit by air strike, not arty. That would only happen anyway if he was already badly damaged.

Nope. I've been wondering how i could get oneshotted by that airstrike, the only explanation i've been able to think of is that i was running in the direction it was hitting, which i'll admit is most likely not too common. Still happened (IF that was what really happened. Would love to see a vid on that too).

And thanks for the video Andi

Well, I hope you learned your lesson then. Devs, what we really need is different colored smoke for your own team, so ppl know if its an enemy strike or friendly.
