40.000 would be 2-3 years of daily 8 hours of Cicada playing, without weekend or holidays.
Even 4.000 would already be a LOT.

On my HBK-4G(F) i have 5984 current and 1240 archived matches...

Catapults for me. Still my most used mech and probably throwing lrms then lasers. Oddly enough the lrms are just bait. Get close if you can, I'm around team mates and I use back up weapons. Other times when i get bored I'll switch to the lct and be that guy.

As far as I can tell it's the only mech he plays. I've never seen him in anything else.

Guilt as charged...

Who knew that a light, non meta mech could cause so much terror amoungst opponents...

Spoiler

Starting next month and on, I'm going to basically be glued to the Mad Cat MK II. Even though I'm terrible in Assault mechs, I'm duty bound to make her mine.

It their life. Personally I like skilling up fresh Mechs rather than stick with one.

Could be many reasons for only running one mech. A few weeks back I was almost exclusively running my WHK-B LRMS. Having my right arm in a cast was a hindrance to aiming.

What part of it do you percieve as cringe? Just going full meta cheese because it's proven to work? And then getting good at it? Or is it the fact they the refuse to be versatile?

Probably both. Meta is just even more cringe cause EVERYBODY is doing it. *everybody means lots of people.

This is the Praetorian. He is my mech. His loadout is not even remotely close to what most players would consider good. If you fight him, you will either die or spend half the match picking each and every component off until he's nothing but a stick and a leg. I may not have the games some of the old timers do, but this Centurion has more matches than my four next highest played mechs combined. I have made an art form out of losing components. I have beaten mechs 20 tons heavier on my own, in FP 12 mans. This is my mech. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I tend to focus a lot more on a very few old favorites now. That may change in the future but I lean toward a certain play style and I notice myself tending toward certain skill tree attributes no matter what I'm building because of my particular preferences in game. I like to work at mid range and run mixed builds when it is practical to do so. And that lends itself to certain chassis more than others.

Back before the rule of three days I used to literally only own and pilot Hunchbacks and spent the bulk of that in the 4G specifically.

Whenever I take it out for a spin these days it still fits like a glove.

Monpax is now in a Gridiron, which must be only the second mech he's run in the last four years. Where's the K2?

Oh, and Marmor Rhozr in his gauss/ERPPC Timby.

Wow... going down the list of players with a few notable exceptions, that is a laundry list of players I never want on my team. Either pure cancer or sheer potato
