Since this happened recently: https://mwomercs.com/incubus, I wonder if this finally spells the end of HG's strangle hold on the classic mechs to make way for PGI's nuseen? If that's the case I hope we get a similar design model to this artwork:



I wonder if the artwork design team could pay tribute to the classic design while changing some features (like swapping out the head of the cockpit to a solid orange glass etc.)

Apparently Russ announced this today. So that must mean something good, I hope. If this means that HG has finally lost, then this should be a call for celebration.

Worst case scenario, that means that I won't have to worry about the IS marauder that I purchased back in the day getting removed any time soon. Keep in mind, the Incubus (Vixen) was released this month. This is interesting because it is under the category of Unused Concept Art from VMI according to sarna.net:

Now what does this mean for the remaining unreleased IICs? Are they considered to be VMI "classics" that PGI are free to remake the nuseen for MW:O as well? We won't know until the next upcoming months (or we get some hardcore cyber ninja hackers to leak the redacted documents).

I am still hopeful since the Incubus is a good sign, but I will remain realistically optimistic in the time being since Russ is allowed to only use the word "classics" in his twitter post.

No the tater community get to me. The latest nonsense with the Blood Asp was over the top. So the manual glass cleaners would need extra hydration if the mech was made sans ridiculous hat.

PGI might make the IIC-1 optional for laser AMS (even though I have no freaking clue how that would look like if it was head mounted,maybe mounted on top of the dish?) and maybe the hero might have ballistic or laser AMS options. Maybe PGI could give the dish durability quirks.

The head thing would always be bad. Any elevation difference and I can pick your CT, easy. It is going to have to ditch the dish or it is gonna be trash.
