LRMs are only "good" when used to levels of overkill that would make most weapon systems vomit out kills by the second if you hit them with the same amount of weapon tonnage in virtually anything else.
And by "good", I mean "They'll do significant damage, eventually. If they hit. Which they certainly aren't guaranteed. Or random ECM/triple AMS/there happens to be a rock nearby to crash into instead".
I git gud with lurms for spite, knowing that every legit, honest kill can yield salt from people who either 1) Endlessly scream that LRMs are too good or 2) LRMs are absolutely useless.
They fall closer to 2), but knowing the 1)'s of the world get wrecked and salty helps to compensate for that, and every iota of knowhow I squeeze out getting closer to mediocrity comes with the thought that I can at least posit simple, straightforward ways to actually make them a decent weapon system.
And then, of course we get patches like this one, where they just generically nerf whatever happens to be the best of the worst and hose missiles in general because AMS buff.
