You do realize that the C-ER PPC got buffed by a 0.5 second longer time to reload. You can fire it less, so it generates less heat. I would not call that an improvement.

You know I even gave up with bringing some of QP modes in FW, but my god: bringing the worst game mode that was ever made & shuffling game modes so I can not decide what I want to play... this looks like:

USER: I don't like some game modes & I'm not gonna play them.
PGI: you don't our game modes. Maybe fix them? Naaaaaaaaahhhh. We will hide game mode from you so you will forced to play any **** we will made... FY player...

Leave clan PPCs alone! I don't want stupid splash damage in exchange for a slower cooldown, just take the splash away, it's not like clanners get a choice in what PPC they want!

The IS whales cried, wallets in hand, tears in their eyes. "Mr. PGI, this money isn't making me win every match! I sit around and poke at mechs, but they don't die! I get flanked by the mean Clanners! I'm not going to give you money if I'm not winning!"
So, Clan got nerfed across the board again. Dev's favorite Reeeee! got killed by a Nova and cSPL's got obliterated.

All in all, another typical PGI patch.
But hey, we got a new game mode to increase queue times, and some new doors on HPG!

If you're going to keep piledriving us into the ground, just remove ClanTech entirely. That way you can balance everything around the IS whales. I bet they'll still complain about Clan's being OP when they get outmaneuvered and start demanding paid account buffs.

Im not too sure how the energy changes will turn out. And mix in the new tech. This is an overall good patch, at least okay.
There will be chaos, hopefully turning out reasonable. Wish PGI could do that EXTRA check up and comparisons regarding the pulse vs standard, clan vs IS etc.

Im not sure whats worst the general crybabies in this thread or the fierce whining of Clan rulez vs IS rulez groups. Do they actually manage to influence PGI to come up with "great ideas"? So that their comfort zones can still be intact and damage the overall gaameplay for those that are NOT in their mindset?
And Im not so sure the balance staff at PGI have done as much reasearch as could be done. Cant say I understand the process however. Though there are questionable changes indeed.

But lets adapt and enjoy the show!

Once more PGI is punishing Clan Mechs !!!

Instead of quirks you should balance the game over the Mech count and weight.
I'm sure all Clan player wish to be in a star instead of a lance, and i guess it should be possible to play with two or three clan stars against 4 or 5 IS lances.

Please remove the name Mechwarrior from your game and transfer the license to i.e. EA or somebody else who is able to keep the spirit of Battletech.

instead of DESTROY every build possible for the "Balance" (except PPCGauss Meta, cause it's balanced)
can't we got CML/CLL and other things comparables, or just put every tech on every mech ? ( so the ******** ISmorron > ClanOPNeedNerf will understand taht Tier5 Mech are **** and Tier1/2 are good ... )
When you try to balance ER vs Normal, you are stupid cause it's not the same thing :/

And btw, we must just go on NON Firepower Skilltree i guess ... if you do that every patch ?

So incredibly wrong in a balance perspective, but quite correct in a human-greed perspective .

Many clan players do want to have better mechs that are faster, stronger, more powerful, and more fun to play. They would love to fight against weaker enemies that are slower and more numerous because that gives them a feeling of playing a single player game and killing AI Bots.

What they fail to consider is how much less fun players on the inner sphere side would have when they are using their weaker slower mechs with fewer opportunities to score kills against their opponents. Clan players who think like this are very greedy, selfish, and toxic for this game.

When you make one side stronger than the other on purpose then you clearly have not achieved balance. This is not Starcraft. Each individual player does not control a large number of units which can be balanced in terms of quantity and quality. Each player controls a single unit.

I want to be able to use all my mechs efficiently. Now instead of attending to IS vs Clan balance fixes they **** over all light mechs. Well done PGI, I don't even feel like starting the game anymore even if this isn't live.

How many times the Quirk will be change ? of the poor black knight.
1st time Structure Bonus reduced.
2nt time weapon Quirks changed, i was sell 2 black knights and buy another 2 other versions black knights because the extra range moved in another version black knight.
3rt time the 15 extra range of the BL-7-KNT-L will be removed, i have 2 black knights for that extra range.
Is so annoying this.

wtf ...why is it that just when you get the feel of your mech's and all there quirks( have 30)
you guys make changes that seems to make one start all over again to master a mech. Been playing for 4 yrs, sometime 10 hours a day (iam 64 ret.) it's get so fucken frustrating to get in a mech, that you play on reg. and have it play so fucken diff. please PGI get the fucken game right..and just leave as is for god's sakes( I don't believe )just saying in case you do)

I really hope there will be a balance in terms of range.

If i can not consider the balance in the present terms of the new patch guess what? i can not consider to play these game with the new patch.

I guess i will not sell my KNT-L for now, also i will not buy any IS hero....no i will not buy ANYTHING until I see a reasonable balance.

Looking forward to see how the balance changes affect game play after the patch drops. It's a shame there are so many complaints in the thread. I mean, lets try it first at least. If the numbers do not work, they can be adjusted later. I do not mind that PGI is attempting to get a better baseline in numbers. I just hope they have the new tech numbers figured out already for these changes.

Frankly, it would have been nice to see the new tech numbers on the chart already since we are only a month out. To see where IS ER weaponry sits on the charts, and where the Clan Heavy lasers come in. I know the cSPL has been nerfed but based on the chart it did seem to need dialed back some. Was it too much, we will see. isCPL went from 4 to 3.5 dmg, cSPL from 6 to 4, maybe 4.5 or 5 would have been a better value. But lets see how it does after patch. The rest of the changes seemed fine.

With the damage nerf to Clan Small Pulse lasers, I think it's time to revist the Heat Penalty on that weapon. You could probably bump it up to 8 or 9 without having any problems.

No fine tuning or tweaking for PPCs? Really? I mean there was the Clan ER PPC cooldown change, which is more than can be said for Flamers. But I expected, well, something to be altered slightly for all PPCs. Minor changes like lasers got.

And wow the Clan small pulse laser was over nerfed. It was too strong for its weight before, but wouldn't a 1 point damage nerf have been enough? I'll reserve final judgement until I can actually play the patch for a few weeks.

Did the LRM5s really need a 20% heat generation nerf? Not even trying out a 10% nerf first? Okay then.

Overall the patch does look pretty nice, but some of the changes, and the lack of any changes on a few things, are questionable.

Edit: As Jman5 said above me. Since Clan small pulse lasers got hit with the nerf bad pretty hard, how about separating their ghost heat numbers from Clan medium lasers now so they aren't lumped together?

On the other hand, this all might make a lot more sense once the July Civil War content patch hits, so that's something to keep in mind.

Yes, that seems an unneccessary constraint. The stats of (S), (F) and (C) mechs are identicial to the regular versions. No reason to constrain those. Or do they think that the visuals (which (C) doesn't have either) offer any game advantages?
