and once again, i torso twisted my damaged side away. no way to hit it for the enemy and STILL i die to get my xl shot out from there.
talkin bout bad hitreg all day. nothing ever gets fixed. if you cant hit a part of the mech then you shouldnt die to getting that part shot out. simple as that. but obviously not.

It isn't a full transcript but it's the closest I've seen.

I'm really underwhelmed by the "announcement" being "We want to do Solaris, would you pay for it?" Please focus on the content we already have/been teased with(maps, more depth for faction play), save new features for when we have special faction events, and other examples.

I believe that Russ clarified by saying that we would "pay" for Solaris by buying cosmetic geometry changes for the Mech models (like useless shields or melee weapons). I like this idea as long as they have some kind of melee combat in Solaris, otherwise I agree that it is a waste of development resources.

Solaris honestly. Here is my suggestion. Just turn the game into private lobbies to match the comp scene RIGHT NOW. I mean thats where you and your "community leaders" are pushing it to now anyways. Just rip off the god damn band aid and get it over with. It will finally convince me to stop wasting money on this terrible terrible game that I oddly love so much. I may sound bitter but I love this game and its been slowly run into the tiolet by incompetent managemant and piss poor community leaders for years now, and at a much accelerated pace since mech pax have been in the game.

My interest in the game would be renewed with Solaris assuming that there's different modes (1v1, 2v2, or skewed 3v2 based on tonnage taken... or free for all 8 mechs in, 1 mech left standing. etc.). I would like to have the option to spectate matches, much like League of Legends offers with their spectate mode. I would also like to place Cbill bets, whether I am competing or spectating.

I will pay to assist with funding on the man-hours and resources needed for the project, with one caveat. Offer a virtual item or service to reward people for funding. Perhaps a special mech available only for backers (initially), or the virtual goods service that everyone has been wanting for a looooooong time... A person backs the project, and is able to flag an owned mech to become a 'hero' 30% Cbill earner. I would LOVE to turn 2 or 3 of my mechs into +30% Cbill mechs. Others would too.

I'm not sure where best to post this thought for it to get to Russ and the development team, but...

Somewhere in the town hall Russ made the claim that MWO is the first game to offer and focus on real time PvP Battletech battles. It makes me think that he's unaware that the old BattleTech MUX scene was doing real time PvP battles and persistent FW/CW 15-20 years before MWO even started. Not only that, IMHO, did a MUCH better job of FW/CW than what we have here. Sure, the game was all text based, but the playability and complexity of the economy found on many of the old BTech MUXes made for such an amazing experience. I think that Piranha could learn a lot by looking back on how these games were run.

The Solaris I want isn't 1v1. I want 8 mech FFA! Something like it was in MW4: Mercs.

If russ wants mech packs to continue to be interesting he might consider refreshing the value to what it once was. The removal of premium time and modules has certainly influenced my interest in them.

I'm much more interested in something like a 8 mech FFA, but I think having a bunch of different modes would be great like someone mentioned earlier. Something like 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, 4 FFA, 8 FFA, 12 FFA. I liked the idea that was mentioned earlier too with 4v3 or the like where the mech tonnage evens things out.

Private matches are free now, you can already do 8v8.

Make FW something different than a silly excuse for a game mode before starting up ANYTHING. This should be BATTLETECH and that means it should all be about and around the Star Map. This is the foremost Meta-Game there should be. Make it work finally! Anything else is obsolete.

how does PGI even expect that people stay calm when they have to drop with complete useless t5 players all time.
i dont even care how bad a MM is but its better than playing as it is now.
this is sickening as fk and im tired of it.

Not enough to stop you posting drama queen posts though I notice. ;)

There is marginal skill to get to tier 1 with the current system as you essentially just progress there. Took me just slightly over 1,000 games and I'm not the best of players at all.

Are there any plans to improve the matchmaker so players have less chance of going 1-19 in an evening?

I have some severe doubts anyone has gone 1-19 unless they were deliberately sabotaging their own team. At that point its really their fault and blaming the rest of the team is at best disingenuous at worst a waste of time.

Even then being down a pilot is recoverable from as with both of my 2 matches yesterday where we still easily won as everyone stepped up and performed. No well known names on either side either.

You're using a text based game as a comparison to a first person shooter? Posted Image

not even i belong into tier 1 but having 75% of the teams filled with t4 like players aint fun. it just aint.
we know by now that there is no MM left for solo queue as well but as it is now, it feels unplayable.

you somehow should expect more than beeing the only guy breaking 300dmg once you reach a high tier. thats what it was implemented right? what i seen this weekend was cringeworthy totally rage-able for most of the time.

i had to carry like half my damn teams to even have a chance to win. this aint fun. it aint fun to see people playing so bad you have to throw at times. everyone can have a bad game and so do i but damn, i seen the same players over and over struggling to even get 200 damage. now how can a player like this reach t3 and with that playing with t1?

the sad thing is tho, you give em advices how to get better, you tell them to move up and support you.
all you get thrown back is *oh u so salty* or *you dont tell me how to play*

and then those guys reach 88 dmg living 4 times longer than i did while i got one of the higher damages of the whole game.

its the pure butthurtness from so many players getting told what they do wrong or what they should do is making me mad.
every single advice you give in game ends but in a butthurt player that cant break a proper dmg or match score.

In case of FW this comparison is probably quite valid, as the old games had 10 times more depth in everything concerning the Star Map, Economy, Faction Politics and anything. But this obviously needs a company that puts a focus on it (which is PGI clearly not doing) and a community that actually wants this. This community clearly does not, because while complexity in FW could make a lot of sense, people seem to be happy with those useless and nonsense changes like the skill maze or always repeating stats-hunting events for another stupid cockpit item.

And all that while FW is still useless... There was another Tukayyid-Event after Terra had been surrounded by Clans for Month... Enough said!

From other posts and threads, a number of players believe Solaris will be like QP, select mech, select Solaris, hit Launch, and that PGI may even have a matchmaker, etc.
