How come LBX10s get a tonnage and slot discount from AC10s but the 2s, 5s and 20s don't?

Lore... the LB10X was actually a couple hundred years old when it originally went extinct in the inner sphere and it was only recovered technology in the mid 3030s. The clans perfected the other LB sizes over 2 centuries earlier. Thus the inner sphere researchers only had a few decades to even develop different sizes of LB autocannons by the time of the 3060s.

What PGI has done with Snub-nose PPCs eliminates any sort of use case for them. TT, they are supposed to have a short range that exceeds maximum Medium Laser range, but the maximum range is far shorted than standard PPCs. Instead PGI has delivered:

You need to read your manuals again... the short range of a SPPC is 270 meters, exactly the same as long range of a medium laser. The crits, heat, tonnage, and damage are likewise all identical to the lore values.

I don't know if you'll see this PGI but the heavy lasers should have a little less burn time
The light guass and heavy PPC need to be statistically revamped. As of now no one will use them. They're just inferior.
Mrms should possibly have a slightly tighter spread, yes they do big damage, but they seem to pepper everything even at point blank range, effectively removing them from competitive play.
There's no reason to take light machine guns.
The clan light machine sounds hilarious, something meatier please
Rac's feel.... you can't blast them as hard as I thought you could, the run time needs to be increased.
Other than those things I'm really looking forward to this, I can't wait!

LMGs should have higher projectile velocities...with range nodes it'll be more than 5 seconds for them to impact a target at near max range.

Lol those heavy lasers did not have a chance man. Heavy, hot and with a beam duration, I do not know if they can be used to cook all the half baked weapons in there Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image .

Really? Must do the math...
Oh, yep. That is silly. They should leave it that way just so we can get videos with hundreds of LMG slugs floating through the air.

Also, you could fire at near max range for about four seconds, back into cover, and the person would turn and see nothing, which would be amusing.

Heavy lasers are definitely not heavy. They weigh the same as ER lasers
Heavy small and medium are not that hot. HSL is 1,41 damage per heat and HML deals 1,25 damage per heat. HML is more heat efficient than ERML or LPL. The duration is kid of bad... but when you combine them with machineguns and flamers they have a purpose.

My verdict so far, after trying stuff out way to late into the night:

Light Gauss: Could need a faster Cooldown, not much 0.5 seconds. Also being able to fire three at once would be nice. (But not necessary, just nice)
Heavy Gauss: Just fine, maybe enhance the max range, so more comp-nerds are happy with the damage dropoff.

PPC-Bunch: Snubs: Ok, I thought they'll be OP but are nice as they are.
LPPC: maybe three till Ghostheat?
HPPC: Would like to have a clarification if it's 12 dmg or 12+spread. If it is the second I'm ok with it.

RACS: Haven't worked with the RAC2s but tried out the 5s heavily. In 5 Seconds, that is the Time until the "Jambar" is Full, the RAC 5 does app. 40 dmg. ThatS double as much as the AC5 and 1.5x the Ultra app. BUT the Jambar regeneration takes VERY long so either you have to up the DPS further to justify this or shorten JBRT (Jambarregenerationtime) Neologism ftw!

1) Laser AMS is generates alot heat.

2)Heavy Gauss Rifle range 180m range is too low.

3)Sub-Nose 270m range and 6 tons i dont see any reason to use this gun i will prefer the normal ppc.Plz make the range 350m on Sub-Nose.

4)AC vs LB ballistics the LB Should have -1 ton and -1slot VS the AC Versions.

My SNV-1 has a 70 point laser alpha now. Try repelling that kind of firepower rebel scum.

Can anybody tell me some Light Fusion ton weight, I've no free space to install PTS..
250-275-300-325-350 and 400 rate engine tons value would be nice just to have an idea of the weight.

Thanks.

cant wait to experiment with SNPPC and/or HMG on my Spider 5k, but i admit there are a few weapons that really scare me.

MRM will be devastating against slower targets and mechs like the javelin will profit quite a bit from that. even my anansi gets quite a lot of damage from it against a enemy lurmer behind his own front.

heavy gauss is also scary af. 25dmg. wow. two of this caliber in one portion of the mech is just insanely powerfull and devastating against the slower mechs once more.

i think generally that this patch helps lights and mediums very much with the new weaponry. sure, there are lots of strong heavy weapons only the biggest guys can carry, but there are also a lot of weapons that will wreck them very fast.

time will tell ^^'

Also: In case you wondered, LFE behaves exactly like Clan XL (Speed dropoff, and heat rising)

Really?

So you lose a torso and gets a heat penalty and a speed penalty too?

I mean, the LFE just saves you a 25% weight instead of the 50% that a Clan XL do and PGI gave it the same penalty?

Really?

IS-LBX2/5/20 > Fat but not useless (but 20's slots are ... meh)
IS-UAC2/10/20 > Good++, 20 got not enough Ammo/Ton BUT > No GhostHeat when paired ? WTF ?
ERSL/ERML > Now IS can whine cause ER is hot
IS-SSRM 4/6 > Ok, it's streak then it's bad from start
LGauss/HeavyGauss > i think LGauss is "Ok-" but HeavyGauss seems bad (not enough ammo, ****** range, ****** slots)
RAC2/5 > can be fun, but just fun
LMG/HMG > meh
MRM10/20/30/40 > IS RetardPowerCreep (1 Click and TorsoTwist > no Problem all missiles goes right), i mean, HLL vs MRM ? 1.7 sec duration vs instant 40 ? ...
RM > WAY TO STRONK on MASS missiles hardpong mech, i'm pretty sure you can OS Some Assault for less than 8 tons invested ><
SNPPC/LPPC/HPPC > i think Heavy are Garbage (dmg/heat/ton), but the other are not useless (wait to try some ghostheat)
LAMS is Ok+
LFE is a good addition (but we'll always get the classic : YEAH but CXL is better ..., then Unlock My Omni's engine and slot so i can "play")

CLMG/CHMG > MEH
CMicro/MicroPulse > when you can't play CSPL for some nerf reason i guess
HSL/HML/HLL > the new kind of ERLL > OP vs Patatos, Useless VS Average players
ATM > CLRM Downsides + ISLRM Downsides ?

In fact, i guess Clan get f***** hard (as often) and IS got some usefull thing, and some useless thing,
i REALLY hope all of these thing WON'T go live like that ... ( and please even if HLazor are ****, at least ... some new colors :/ give us some UnicornsColors, with magic and rainbow)

Advanced Tactical Missile : 180 meter minimum range. I hope this is a bad joke...
Why 180? Why not 0 or 50? Now these are bad cLRM.

But medium-range missiles were excellent.

they would be insanely op without minimum range. imagine a storm crow loaded up with those, it would be even worse than with the streaks
