Countdown To Civil War Mech Release July 18Th

Annihilator: Ugly as always. It has absurdly large hitboxes like it always did, and will be easy to core CT, as long as one does not stand directly in front of it.. it's arms are also absurdly large and low, so weapons mounted there will be mostly useless.. Expect to play it like a large, slow, ballistic Black Knight - not play it much. Hoped it's design would be a bit more rounded and less boxy. Oh well.. Never liked it, so still don't like it..
MadCat Mk2: Actually looks better then I hoped. The arms will be good for shielding, and the mech looks mean and predatory even without the missile pods. Will probably own more than one when it's out for cbills. Will possibly rival the Supernova.
Uziel: Looks great, nice and predatory. Will probably buy one when it's out for cbills.
Cougar: Cockpit too small compared to the Adder. It looks very similar to that mech, kinda an "adder Mk2", but better than the adder in every way. Will probably own one.

Mad Cat will defintively rival the Supernova and very probably surpass it. Good mobility, firepower, shield arms, hitboxes will probably be in the same way the Timby has... all in all, a solid and dangerous assault mech for IS light pilots like me.
iirc the Cougar is based on the Adder and is supposed to be better in every way. so yes, it is an Adder MK2. but keep in mind, its quite a lot slower than the Adder.

Yes, MC MK2 looks really good and for sure will surpass Supernova - better weapon placement, way faster. Thats it.

Some dreaming: I would love to get the possibility to play my IS 'Mechs with a IS faction and my Clan 'Mechs with a Clan faction (and no I do not want to create two accounts or play as a mercenary ).

Because the Mad Cat MK II was engineered by Clan Diamond Shark within the borders of the Inner Sphere. The IS name for the Timberwolf was Mad Cat so they used that name instead of the Clan term.
Btw, they created that 'Mech at first for selling purposes, so IS units should use that 'Mech in FW too.

They created it to sell it, but it didn't sell very well. The vast majority of the MKII that were produced and sold went to Clan Nova Cat and Clan Wolf in Exile - besides the Diamond Sharks, themselves, of course. So, still primarily a Clan mech.

...ironically though, during the FCCW it was still more common in IS forces (mostly AFFS and SLDF) than both, Annihilator and Uziel.

Eh I still feel the Ghost Bears would have bought a few off the Sharks. By 3062 (the proper initial production run date) the Ghost Bears would have just relocated all assets to thier territory to the IS (as most know). Mech production facilities were still in the process of rebuilding and/or retooling for Ghost Bear designs. The Mk II was readily available and fit the Ghost Bear style of mech (fast and with good punch although a little light on armor), Ghost Bears had decent relationship with the Sharks enough for common trade atleast.
Just as usually not alot of details on Ghost Bears compared to the other Clans ect. (Blame the IS wasn't in contact or combat with them as much as the others, so TRO's wouldn't have much indepth details on them...why I wish they did some TRO's from the Clan perspective once in awhile!)

You are just making that up!
How about this? In an effort to increase sales and for field testing purposes, Clan Diamond Shark gave free Mad Cat MKII's to each of their fellow Clans who had a presence in the Inner Sphere. That is why there will be a Mad Cat MKII in my Clan Hell's Horses touman!

Just assumptions based off the facts given lol.

True, what I meant more was compared to Jade Falcon, Wolf's, and What was Smoke Jaguar. Ghost Bears always seem to have had less attention given to them in the lore ect. Nova cat's during and after the Great refusal even have more details it would seem about them. Idk just an observation is all.

Contrary to what PGI originally claimed about the engine desync...what we've so far seen in actual practice is that IS mechs for a given tonnage will be more agile than a clan mech of the same tonnage (highlander vs highlander IIC), and in some cases even IS mechs of greater tonnage end up far more agile (Cyclops vs Night Gyr). So I expect the Annihilator to be comparable to an Atlas, and still better than a Kodiak. The Mad Cat Mk2 will likely be the same agility as the Super Nova to start and if it over performs they'll nerf it to Mad2C #s.
Unless you want to be disappointed, expect the Annihilator to have no better than Dire level agility. Its a gun boat afterall. They aren't going to give it 6 ballistic hardpoints spread out across the mech and make it more agile than a Dire.

Actually, the Diamond Sharks sold them to other Clans and even made a version to sell to the IS. Also, Clan warriors can take Mechs as Isorla if they win a trial against the owner.
