Good quirks on Annihilator. That's about it. Everything else is teri-bad. But I guess that's what the skill trees are for. Cougar needs more armor/structure quirks. Uziel just needs armor/structure quirks period. Mad Cat II...eh...I guess they are alright.

the cougar's quirks look pretty good to me, though i guess we'll have to see what omnipods they're tied to and whether or not they're set-of-eight.

Uziel rates no structure or armor quirks? It's quite tall and has MASSIVE shoulders. I think they're overestimating just how good it's high mounts will be on a 50 ton mech. The Hunchback at least has quirks to make up for it's massive hunch.

Guess I'll just have to see for myself how they do on Tuesday.

Wait wait. I see what they did. They gave the Uziels higher performance than the other 50 ton mechs.

anyone else notice the heat sink numbers on the quirk displays?
i dont think a single one of them shows correct values

annihilator with 33 engine heat sinks?
std 200 engine with 10 engine heat sinks?
uziels with no heat sinks at all?
etc...

it appears that proof reading is still not a concept that pgi is aware of

Anybody else notice the insane armor quirks on the Annihilators?

I wouldn't say insane, more validated. With a maximum speed to rival that of a Dire Wolf, it's going to need those-you get your arse in the fire in the ANH, you are going to have one hell of a time trying to get it back out.

Anybody else see the 197 point firepower reported on one of the Annihilators? Far too good to be true, but that's a fun find

on the pts i made a king crab with 210 firepower - RACs and rockets skew the numbers badly

if any one mist it here are the Uzrial fixes
lease Note: Three of the Uziel variants shown in the images above possess incorrect Quirk assignments.
• Uziel UZL-3P is currently missing a -20% UAC Jam Chance Quirk.
• Uziel UZL-5P currently has a -20% UAC Jam Chance Quirk, but should have a 20% Machine Gun Rate of Fire Quirk instead.
• Uziel UZL-6P currently has a Machine Gun Rate of Fire Quirk, even though it has no Ballistic Hardpoints.

They need to "sit" the Uziel down a bit, the way they did with the Mad Dog when it was too tall.

I am hoping those are typos. Also, please increase the size of that font. I am on the verge of buying the Uziel, maybe after a couple more beers.

I'm a little surprised the Uziel didn't get any armor quirks. Don't get me wrong, I think it's going to be a good mech but you're not going to be able to protect those STs from any angle. They're just gonna absorb damage like there's no tomorrow.

I am kind of sad that they are releasing the weapons without the visuals for all the mechs. How many patches will it take to finish all the visual retrofitting now?

Seriously though, why create another KD3 situation, just so people can whine and it has to be nerfed a few patches later?

Eh, Annie can't take an XL400 and doesn't have as good mounts. Lets see how that goes first.

Uziel's lack of any sort of durability quirk is a big deal; this mech is gonna be incredibly fragile, very likely to be underpowered as a result.

Cougar is only getting +12% heat dissipation quirk, despite only having 7 engine heat sinks like the Kit Fox, which gets +15% heat dissipation.
There is no reason the Cougar shouldn't get +15% too.
I'm also somewhat concerned about the lack of durability quirks on the Cougar, especially for the CT.

Annihilator... still not sure how that thing is gonna turn out.

Mad Cat Mk II doesn't have much in the way of quirks, as expected for a mech that will be close to the Marauder IIC in power.

Nice try.

I hope enough people take the bait shelling out cash so alienating the other players, which have to deal with this atrocity of unbalance for a month or two is worth it financially. So that's the reason for active premium time, you want people to log in to face that metal grinder? Clever.

it's going to depend a lot on what the hitboxes are like, but i still feel like it might be a little excessive either way. it may be that it does indeed need that extra armor in order to perform adequately, but i thought the idea was to be conservative with the initial quirk values and then adjust as necessary from there.

it's especially odd when you compare it to the uziel, which has practically nothing in the way of quirks despite being fairly unremarkable.

I'm not trying to support his argument, as I completely agree with you (and I like Alex's design), but...

thundergodxarbala on deviantart made a pretty kickass Annihilator IIC:

I'm in love with this. It's like the younger, hotter sister of the MWO design.

Dire Wolf speed and agility.

Inner sphere tech. (heavier, bulkier engines, bulkier weapons bulkier endo steel, meaning you can fit less of everything, and do it with far, far fewer heatsinks)

It obviously had to come with quirks or its just a really bad Dire copy.

That said, those quirks are mental. Shits gonna be hard to kill, with survival tree stacked on top of that. Im tempted to buy it now. 5xUAC5 with that level of armour will be painful.

From the Clan side, note how the MCII has an actually decent torso twist angle, and didnt get mobility giganerfed.
