• Velocity increased to 1900 (from 1300).
Clan ER PPC
• Heat increased to 14.5 (from 14)
• Velocity increased to 1500 (from 1300).
why does the IS er ppc get an extra 400 velocity rating?
so we upgrade the clan one slightly add some more heat but the IS one, ah lets just make it almst as fast as a guass rifle for no cost, nadda, nothing, but increase the clan one by 200 metre and heat goes up increase Is one by 600 m and nothing

Because the Clan PPC weighs less, takes up less space and does 5 points of splash damage for a total of 15 vs 10 damage.
Are you going to do this with everyone weapon in the game?
Here are some resources for you:

Decals shift down slightly in position on mech after double clicking.
'up arrow' in mechlab for armor is hit and miss at best, it is sometimes rather difficult to get the up arrow to register.
Selecting weapons and equipment on mechs in the mechbay is likewise hit or miss, it is at times difficult to select an item.

Well, it's neither. MRMs weren't developed to replace anything, they exist for a very simple reason: money. Many here may not know this, as MWO doesn't have ammo costs anymore, but ammo in Battletech is bloody damn expensive. The full load for the big missile slingers (Longbow 12C, Bane 3) sets you back about half a million CBills. Its the reason your average merc prefers energy weapons.
The Dracs just had serious problems rebuilding their forces after their various tussles with just about everyone in range, and were looking for ways to save money. Preferably with a weapon thats easy enough to use for their legions of rookies.
Ammo cost per ton in CBills
LRM: 30.000
LRM/A4: 60.000
SRM: 27.000
SRM/A4: 54.000
SSRM: 54.000
MRM: 5.000

I reproduced it earlier in testing grounds.
Sorry if this has already been mentioned (but I'm not going to read 30 pages/591 comments to find out!)

The real question is how did they not realize it before the patch went live? This was a known issue with PTS 1 and 2 that they claimed was fixed.

It used to be banked for prior Mech Packs, but they switched it to (and promoted it as) "Active Premium Time" for recent Mech Packs.
Many of us don't like the change. But at least they reintroduced Premium Time to the standard packs recently - activated - which is better than no Premium Time at all.
Be more than happy to share my build. I am not sure if it's the best but it certainly works;
Dual Gauss + Quad ER meds. 3 JJ's with ST boosted, rest on amour and seismic/radar.
I'll see if I can try dual ER large but the beam time needs to be shorten in ST.

Also rotary guns are very nasty, someone was hitting me in the face and I simply couldnt see a single thing. I died only because of being blind and nothing skill related which is annoying. I'll be setting up a dakka macro tonight in response as there is no clan answer to this.
As I said during PTS, heavy lasers...
Hahahahahaha, best joke I've seen in a long time
(I did try them again but stripped them out).

Seriously? At the same time Clan PPC (and other components) is more fragile (less health) and more prone to crit.
So.. in what way Clan tech is more superior? In this case (ER PPC) it is only pin-point damage which is higher. The rest is worse - less speed, more heat, less health, more prone to crit. Nice.

I went back to my IS Mechs. Clan Mechs in MWO will never be what I remember them to be from older MW games, or TT. I know that Clans were just introduced to this game so PGI could show enough profit to renew the IP licence since the unseen Mechs were not available at the time. It is ashame that the Artwork and Models for the Clan Mechs are as close to accurate as ever, but other than that, there is no real reason to take an OmniMech over a Clan BATTLEMECH, or IS BATTLEMECH.

Meanwhile, I'm doing great with Kit Fox, Cougar, Arctic Cheetah, Nova, Mad Dog, Ebon Jaguar, Hellbringer and Warhawk.
I also happen to consider those mechs considerably better than comparable IS mechs, with only the Hunchback IIC, Marauder IIC, Kodiak and Mad Cat Mk II being up there with them.

I'm not about to dump skill nodes into the speed tweak for something with the base agility #s of an atlas. The percentages of the mobility table don't amount to anything worth the nodes to bother with it on such mechs. The survival table on the other hand, especially with the armor quirks...that's worthy of nodes.

You are a better-than-average pilot so you will do better with a mediocre Mech than a mediocre pilot in a top-tier Mech.

I don't consider mechs like the ones I listed as 'mediocre'; I do better with those them than nearly every IS mech.

Like I said, Clan Mechs in MWO are not what I expect them to be, so I find them all mediocre. I am not the best pilot in any Mech but I have my moments and most of those moments are in my IS Mechs.
