tt doesnt have pesky hardpoint limitations though.

17.5 tons
gauss -12
erll - 4
ammo -1.5(yes i dropped half ton)

Congrats, you learned how to shift goal-posts.

in context of mwo xxl is just plain useless by mere fact of having only 0.15/s dhs.

In context of both MWO and TT, XXLs are pretty much useless because their weight savings compared to XL are so minor that they just aren't worth all the disadvantages they come with.

Eg, the difference between a 250XL and 250XXL is just 2 tons.

Never claimed ive been talking about mwo have i?? especially that in mwo theres no jenner2c variant capable of mounting ballistics...

But thx for pointing out to upcoming jenner hero, looks pretty interesting, too bad it wont fit 2 hlls or i would even consider getting it.

Ah huh, not talking about MWO on a MWO forum. /eyeroll

It's not even worth bothering with in its 6x HMG niche; the Arctic Cheetah is getting another cbill variant next month which will have 3B in each arm, and that gets side torso energy hardpoints and ECM along with that.

Talking about theoretical possibilities in battletech on forum of a battletech game, yeah thats unheard of...

Yeah with ach it really isnt.

Though niche i was looking for was 6 lmg for 0 heat backup with 2 hll as actual punch

ACH sadly doesn't have enough tonnage available for that, nor does Viper.

You'd probably have to settle for a Shadow Cat, although you won't be able to fit an ECM at the same time.

well the (Jenner IIC JR7-IIC-FY 'Fury'(Hero) has 3Ballistics in each arm(Link)
so we will be getting a JR7-IIC that will be able to mount Ballistics soon, ;)

I don't think XXLs become production tech until Dark Age era, so there's no need to worry about them being added anytime soon.

When we get our hands on Pillager? And why we need to wait so long for C-Bill version of Annie? Why just no to to as Riot Games do with new champs?

I get that, but geez man let em breath.

Take some time to show you are appreciating and using this stuff before jumping into the next thing.

It's kind of like being invited over to someone's house for a nice dinner, and then, immediately after it's served, you start up a conversation about what you'd like to eat NEXT time, before you've even loosened your belt from this meal.

Take the time to chew man, taste the food, relax, enjoy.

Your enthusiasm is commendable, but my friend, sometimes you make me think of a ferret on amphetamines, the way you jump all over the place, nonstop. Posted Image

Well, much of the new tech is catch-up tech. Not to mention that Clans got screwed out of a lot of cool toys by a single year.

well IS gets some options as well that would have been nice,
-
=IS=
Light AutoCannons(LACs)
LightAC2/LightAC5(Production Tech 3068)
LACs(Light AutoCannons) are Lighter but less Range than normal IS-ACs
-
Weapon,....Damage,...Heat,...Velocity,...Cool-down,...Range,...Max Range,...Tons,...Crit*,
LightAC2,........2...........1.0........2000............1.0............450...........900..............4........1...
LightAC5,........5...........1.5........1150............2.0.............540.........1080..............5.......2...
the LAC5 has the same Heat as mostly all other MWO AC5s,
both LAC have +25% Cooldown to make up for being lighter,
-
=Clan=
Hyper-Assault Gauss(HAGs)
HAG20/HAG30(Production Tech 3068)
HAGs(Hyper-Assault Gauss) are much like a mix of C-UAC and Gauss together,
-
Weapon,...........Damage,.....Heat,...Velocity,...Cool-down,...Range,...Max Range,...Tons,...Crit*,
HAGauss20,...1/Shell(20).......4.........1330...........2.0...........60-720.......1440.............10.......6...
HAGauss30,...1/Shell(30).......6.........1330...........3.0...........60-720.......1440.............13......8...
to balance HAGs, they would likely have both a Burst(most UACs) and Charge up(all Gauss)
i gave HAGs a cooldown equal to their Damage Count(half a second longer than respective ACs)
-
=Both=
MachineGun Array(MGAs)
MGA2/3/4(Production Tech 3068)
MGAs(MachineGun Array) area an array of MGs all tied together in a single Hardpoint,
MGArrays take up the same space as the number of MGs they Carry, +1Crit(for the Array)
MGArrays take up the same Weight as the number of MGs they Carry, +0.5Tons(for the Array)
-
Weapon,................Damage,.......Range,.....Max Range,....Tons,....Crit*,
IS(LMG)Array2,....as(LMG)x2....as(LMG)......as(LMG).........1.5........3...
IS(MG)Array2,.......as(MG)x2......as(MG)........as(MG)..........1.5........3...
IS(HMG)Array2,....as(HMG)x2...as(HMG).....as(HMG).........2.5........3...
-
IS(LMG)Array3,....as(LMG)x3....as(LMG)......as(LMG).........2.0........4...
IS(MG)Array3,.......as(MG)x3......as(MG)........as(MG)..........2.0........4...
IS(HMG)Array3,....as(HMG)x3...as(HMG).....as(HMG).........3.5........4...
-
IS(LMG)Array4,....as(LMG)x4....as(LMG)......as(LMG).........2.5........5...
IS(MG)Array4,.......as(MG)x4......as(MG)........as(MG)..........2.5........5...
IS(HMG)Array4,...as(HMG)x4....as(HMG).....as(HMG).........4.5........5...
-
C(LMG)Array2,....as(LMG)x2....as(LMG)......as(LMG).........1.0........3...
C(MG)Array2,.......as(MG)x2......as(MG)........as(MG)..........1.0........3...
C(HMG)Array2,....as(HMG)x2...as(HMG).....as(HMG).........1.5........3...
-
C(LMG)Array3,....as(LMG)x3....as(LMG)......as(LMG).........1.25......4...
C(MG)Array3,.......as(MG)x3......as(MG)........as(MG)..........1.25......4...
C(HMG)Array3,....as(HMG)x3...as(HMG).....as(HMG)..........2.0.......4...
-
C(LMG)Array4,....as(LMG)x4....as(LMG)......as(LMG).........1.5........5...
C(MG)Array4,.......as(MG)x4......as(MG)........as(MG)..........1.5........5...
C(HMG)Array4,...as(HMG)x4....as(HMG).....as(HMG).........2.5........5...

many have been waiting for MGArrays, they are almost here,
but i think Bishops right, we should relax for now, and take in all we have gotten,
let the waters settle abit before we dive in to the hottub, Posted Image

doesn't mean it's balanced out yet.

And the Clans getting "screwed" would have largely defeated the point OF catch up tech to you know... catch up?

There is exactly one weapon the Clans introduced in 3068, the HAG. (ER and heavy flamer are 3067).
On the other hand, the Inner Sphere introduced Plasma Rifles, LACs, and MG arrays in 3068 (and the heavy flamer and the pointless MML).

And given that the HAG is a sandblaster with a huge spread in TT, I would not be so sure it's the Wunderwaffe some want it to be. (Especially not after seeing the RAC).
I for one would be absolutely willing to face it if I got Plasma Rifles, LACs and MG arrays!

and the pointless MML).

The MML is far from pointless; by sacrificing a bit of LRM damage, LRM boats gain a ridiculous amount of SRM vomit that removes their close range disadvantage.
Or vice versa, SRM splat builds that sacrifice a bit of SRM damage gain a fair bit of LRM firepower.

Eg, a build that has 2x LRM20 with 6 tons of ammo total, could swap to 4x MML7 with 4 tons of LRM ammo and 4 tons of SRM ammo.
It'd drop from 40 to 28 LRM damage, but gain the firepower of 7x SRM4 at close range.

Or a build of 4x LRM15 with 10 tons of ammo total, could swap to 4x MML9 with 7 tons of LRM ammo and 7 tons of SRM ammo.
It'd drop from 60 to 36 LRM damage, but gain the firepower of 6x SRM6 at close range.

Vice versa, a 6x SRM6 build with 6 tons of ammo total, could swap to 4x MML5 with 3 tons of LRM ammo and 3 tons of SRM ammo.
It would drop from 30 to 20 SRMs, but gain the firepower of 20 LRMs at longer ranges.

I'm kinda doubtful PGI will be able to implement MMLs though; they can't just do a bracketed damage thing like they did with ATMs, because MMLs are also a combination of dumbfire and homing missile systems.

I am talking about the MML in MWO; the whole raison d'être of MML is the capacity to switch ammo. Since we cannot do that in MWO (and probably never will), the weapon would be ... well, pointless.

they could do the Bracketed Damage they did with ATMs with MML,
as SRMs are supposed to be homing not dumb fire having it use SRM/LRM Homing could work,

Ok give me a sec to make a weapon Profile for MMLs

Multi-Missile Launcher(MMLs)
MML3/MML5/MML7/MML9(Production Tech 3068)
MMLs are capable of firing short-range(SRM) & long-range(LRM) missiles,
-
Weapon,....Damage,...Heat,...Velocity,...Cool-down,...Range,...Max Range,...Tons,...Crit*,
MML3,.............6.............2.........200............2.5..............270...........900..............1.5.......2...
MML5,............10............3.........200............3.5..............270...........900..............3.0.......3...
MML7,............14............4.........200............4.5..............270...........900..............4.5.......4...
MML9,............18............5.........200............5.5..............270...........900..............6.0.......5...
Missiles do 2Dam from 0-270, then degrade to 1Damge at 450, then continue to do 1Dam till 900m,

actually i think MMLs could fill a gap between SRMs and LRMs much like ATMs do,

An XXL also has slightly higher heat levels for movement than other engines, but the math is pretty simple. If you can get at least +50 engine rating out of the XXL vs. an XL, you're breaking even assuming you now can stow a few more heat sinks, and then some because higher speed. There's also funky tradeoffs with using a bit of the tonnage for a compact gyro, letting you get some of the space back and also giving any CT hardpoints considerably more room to work with.

You lose 6 crits when you switch from xl to xxl.

Problem isnt the weight of heat sinks but their crits.
