Hellion basically ends up very similar to the Arctic Cheetah, just a bit slower and with omnipod jumpjets.

Lighter Eninge, masc and more customizable in regards of jumjets -> way more fun then ach.

Yeah... but does the game really need a mech that is just a better ACH?

YES!!! ... i not only say this as an ice hellion by heart, but altough as a clan light player.
Besides the wolfhound is already in game ... and speed is more important then clan weapons.

nope but the game does need the piranha. otherwise what was the point of adding microlasers to the game? theres no point in micros existing if we dont get a 20 tonner than can spam them.

Vipers can use Microlasers fairly well already, but ultimately I think even with the Piranha, why? Microlasers (in MWO) are like the weapon of last resort because you don't have weight or heat sinks for anything bigger. It's not really something to aspire too.

Pre engine decouple I wanted the firemoth because it would be the only mech that would have made the locusts look clumsy. My god with th MASC it would have danced and spun like a freaking top. Now it is pretty meh, as the optimization was never very strong on the chassis.

I want a Locust IIC so badly. It might be 5 tons more than the stated 20 tons by the OP but damn that thing sounds like it would wipe the floor with a regular IS locust! Sounds like 25 tons of pure fun.

It might, it might not. It's going to be bigger with slightly worse handling because of its weight, and Clan lasers are really awkward on Lights at the moment. It might actually end up about even. Hard to say, honestly.
