Specifically looking at heavy lasers, and flamer visuals :/.
A great many people have been begging to get rid of the flashlight look for a long time.
I want to use flamers so badly, but i cant stomach running around blazing a searchlight in front of my mech pretending i'm burning stuff.
And large lasers need a different visual effect, not necessarily color, but a different particle effect?

I expect PGI to nerf CERSLs down to this new "standard" of nonviability as opposed to just making CSPLs not crap again. After all why buff underperforming gear when you can just make the obvious replacement for it even worse?

LRMs not reworked.
Ghost heat not reworked.
Visual retrofits for Clans which have almost no new tech.
No IK.
Mad Cat Mk2 animation not fixed.
List of quirks and bonuses from skills is still a mess.
No other improvements to clicketyclick skill maze.
No improvements to performance or mechlab loadings.
Hoverjets not buffed.
No slots reduction for LB-X or ammo types.
No new maps.
Alpine rework abandoned and forgotten.
We were also promised female pilot model.
0/10 wouldn't buy a mech pack.

Not with PGI. You buy mech packs to fund more mech packs. Most of issues I've mentioned are either the most minor fixes that require minimal effort or something that was asked for years ago. So my money invested back then totally didn't pay off.

But some more information. for you.
All the general ease of use of standard functions in a structured GUI.
And also to be equal throughout the games GUI.
And some funtions where the mouse is the only option a more complete and easier usage.
