PGI your UAC's even with the -40% percent jam chance is pathetically wretched.
Is this some cruel joke?
I put three UAC2's a Dragon 5N only to have all 3 jam at the same time.
After just one round.
Not once, but on multiple occasions.
And I'm not gonna cry about my other UAC builds
Is the a UAC joke detector on the server for you to laugh at?
Well it ain't funny.

Working as intended, RNG jamming is an exciting meaningful game mechanic that adds depth and fun to the game.

Hmmm, not sure if trolling when 'lurmin like a boss' starts talking about other weapons.

I really wonder how PGI's RNG mechanics work with the UACs. It should be extremely rare for two UACs to jam up at once, but often enough people have had 3 or more jam at the same time. Tests people have done show that its about as common for 2 to jam at the same time as for just one.

There's some bug somewhere or its not really statistically true RNG.

I honestly think it's coded wrong because yes it's extremely common for double UAC/10s to both jam on the same trigger pull... like CONSTANTLY.

My favorite one still is the first shot jam. Push the trigger, jammed two Clan uAC-10s without firing a shot. I had it happen running a Warhawk Nanuq last night.

I haven't dropped in game in months. But I can confirm that this used to happen frequently to me. I also have balls-bad internet and fluctuating ping, and have always blamed that as the root of the issue- packet loss or HSR getting confused etc. but it happens, or at least it did months ago last I dropped in a match.

What if UACs had a jam bar like RACs instead of "lol RNG"? And the jam bar went to zero after the jam instead of cooling down from 100%?

One of the reasons I dropped my dire wolf, was that several times, several different games in a row, all of my c-uac 5's jammed at once as I pushed, so I got a nice helping of b*ttf*ckery as the entire enemy team unloaded all over my face.

I don't know how much the jam chance has (officially) been changed in the 3-4 months I've been gone, but it's really hurtin my ballistic builds. You win pgi. gj guys. You win.

Welcome to the party. Clan UAC users have been having fun with this since last winter when they raised the jam chances and jam duration in an attempt to curtail the dakka KDK-3 and Night Gyrs. Funny thing is you can still run dakka boats but anything that only runs one or two UACs is pretty much not reliable enough to count on for damage when you need it most. I have run test on Testing Grounds and PTS with 2 x UAC5s where one or both of my weapons were jammed for 26-27% of the time while double tapping away 4 tons of ammo. If I run UACs now, I avoid double tapping most of the time. Even then, I will occasionally get jams.

Be thankful for your 40% jam reduction chances. Only a few Clan Mechs have the UAC jam reduction and some of those are on omnis and they disappear when a pod is changed.

I agree there is something weird going on with the UAC jam chances and I hope the issue will be investigated and remedied. In the meantime, I would love to have even a 20% UAC jam reduction quirk on my UAC/laser mixed Hellbringer. ~Sigh~

I honestly think it's seeding it's random number from a timestamp- thus, if multiple UAC's fire at the exact same time and it comes up "jam", everybody jams.

What it needs to do is add in a second number to the generator, say "hardpoint 1,2,3..." so each one gets a different result, even if "rolled" at the same time.

Yeah it seems off... its not uncommon for 2, 3 or all 4 of what ever UAC's I'm running to all be jammed at the same time.

And the jam frequently and duration of being jammed means it's very rare for me to run UAC's with less than 4 UAC's. And even then, backup lasers have been my saviour on multiple occasions.

After refitting my YLW I've already had multiple instances of the UAC20 jamming at the worst possible moment. Great DPS boost when it works, though.

Let's face it, UAC has its use, but it is not superior to standard AC in all occasion. It is best suited for poking, doing silly dps in short window, fall back to cover if you jammed, in such occasion jamming doesnt hurt. Brawling in open area with UACs, however, is a gamble. You can send your opponent back to the chopper in matter of seconds if they dont jam, or you are the one being sent spectating if the RNG god doesnt bless you. If you dont want to take the risk, dont double tap, or take standard AC/LBX instead.

There was a thread (or at reddit I think) where UAC actually jams just by plainly shooting (not double tapping) like normal AC. Not sure PGI ever fixed this bug, with several video proofs.

My theory is because of this particular bug, jam chance is about 1.3x~2x more than originally intended. Actually I have better time using just plain ACs than UACs.
