The first round was a lot of fun and well received, so I said to myself: "Self, how about we do that again?" Specifically the second part where people make their own mechs. Is good plan.

Rules:
1. To enter you must post a photo of your mech created with physical Legos.
2. Your photo must include your MWO name and the current date on a piece of paper.
3. The mech must be of your own design. I want to see new stuff.*
4. The mech may be any scale. It does not have to fit a minifig.
5. Designs that won a top prize in the previous round may not be entered. Their builders may enter other designs. Designs that received an honorable mention may be resubmitted.
6. Multiple entries are permitted.

PGI has generously provided the main prizes this time. First place will receive one ultimate mechpack of their choice. Second and third place will each receive a collectors mechpack of their choice, and fourth, fifth and sixth places will each receive a standard mechpack. I will be providing additional prizes for honorable mentions. At least one honorable mention will go to the image post that receives the most likes from the community and did not win a mechpack.

The contest will end 16-OCT-2017 23:59:59.99 CST. This is a "soft" date, potentially subject to small extensions. The intent is to finish in time for winners to qualify for the next mech pack's early adopter rewards.

Begin!

*This just means you came up with the brick combination yourself. Canon and non-canon models are acceptable.

You can design digitally and post renders all you like, but they will not be entries until there is a photo of physical bricks.

Does it have to be a specific variant? Or we can just mix and match weapons at least?

He specifically mentioned that it's a mech of your own design, so you can do whatever you want with it I assume.

Anyways, I wish I could join in, but I'm lacking in the "creativity" department, so I'll have to make due and wait for others to submit their work. (Fair warning, if you upload your design here and don't patent it beforehand, I can not guarantee Clan Diamond Shark engineers won't be "inspired" by them. ;) )

I know right?

Still there ARE knock-offs that actually fit with Legos. Hell i got both Mega Bloks, Legos, and some other obscure product that happens to fit Legos.

Shame that i don't have the luxury to use matching colors. I did use random colors to match the form.

Here's my submission:

Ultimate Pack?

Is it okay if i just get equivalent to 40$ worth of stuffs?

Does it have to be interlocking building bricks of a random brand?

I'd rather grab some plastic model kits and poly sheet and kitbash something.

That's what i did with mine. So long as they fit with current legos, they ARE legos. that's my philosophy. The Mega Bloks name be damned.

Would love to participate, but i sort of gave away my literal buckets upon buckets of LEGO bricks to charity.

But good luck to everyone else!

The mech itself can be whatever you want. It can be a canon model; it can be a custom variant of an existing mech; it can be an original design.

To be clear, "mech of your own design" just means you came up with the brick combination yourself. Canon designs are perfectly acceptable (as shown by previous winners). I just do not want people to go download someone else's instructions.

All winners must mail me their model so that I may disassemble it and verify it is free of Mega Blocks heresy.</sarcasm>

Frankly, if the bricks are compatible with Lego, that is good enough for me. While kitbashing is awesome, it is sadly beyond the scope of this contest.

AHA! I knew something was up! Posted Image

(I kid, i kid)

You know i never had legos, I had these blocks, that were a little taller, but they were perfect for making castles.. that's all i ever wanted to do with um lol. They are long gone or i would make the Minecraft version of a mech.

This thread is dead innit?

I think PGI should endorse this thread, maybe we could get moar participants.

I do wanna win that 40$ stuff. But really it's sad if I'm the only participant.

You know what would really ******* away?

Large Scale Mech using Lego Technic. Jesus, the default arrangement they provide alone is already overwhelming to me.

Upload pictures on some hosting site say https://imgur.com/, and then copy paste the link between a bbcode. Use Left Click and click "copy image address".

It should look like something below.

> Imgur Template: [img]https://i.imgur.com/(your file id).jpg[/img]

> Imgur Example: [img]https://i.imgur.com/lFRCles.jpg[/img]

As for the spoilers.

Just put [spoiler]*your content in between*[/spoiler]

> [spoiler][img]https://i.imgur.com/lFRCles.jpg[/img][/spoiler]

It should look like this:
