I have a question that might've already been answered and I missed (please forgive if this is the case).

I already own the Wolfhound and Crab from the Resistance II series, if I pony up for the knight of color and mauler will that still qualify me for the loyalty Victor?

Expiring minds want to know...

I don't think so. Resistance II came out a very long time ago; You'd have to buy a newer IS Mech's ultimate pack. I'd recommend either the Javelin or Osiris (If the Osiris counts) if you really want the Victor, as both options are cheaper than non-light Battlemechs.

Sorry for the stupid question: But is owning both clan collector packs form the escalation packs count as the 2?

Resistance 2 is included in this year. It's not entirely clear if you had to purchase the entire package within the time frame or if you just need to 'reach' the Mauler level during the time frame. I'm waiting on the answer to a similar question with upgrading Standard mechpacks to Collector's Packs.

As for Escalation, if you purchased both Clan Collector's Packs that will be enough for the Linebacker. If you've already purchased the preorders, you should be able to see it on your eligibility page (small link on your profile page named 'CONTENT' in the thin line of links below the blue 'DOWNLOAD NOW' button. The biggest issue right now is people not knowing exactly what they still need to purchase in order to turn those red Xs to green check marks.

Kuaron, the store consistently uses the word 'tier' to refer to tiered multiple-mech collections, and 'level' to refer to mechpacks and add-ons. They have never said 'Reinforcement tier' for a mechpack, nor have they said 'Wrath level' to refer to the Wrath-tier multiple-mech collection. The wording is more precise in the top-tier reward notes.

By this logic, how is the standard pack "any tier of any Inner Sphere Collection"?

Because its required to get any of the other levels?

So you call a requirement for "levels" a "tier"?

I am a bit confused,

So buying the 80$ IIC pack qualifies you for the top tier clan reward, but the 10$ short supernova package @70$ not.

Now the other part is

"or any 6 Wave 1, Wave 2 or IIC Clan Hero 'Mechs"

but will I qualify for the clan top tier if I buy the NVA hero from the Wave one package for 15$? In the end I I will then also have spent 85$ but something tells me it is not even if thats higher than the IIC collection package..

Seriosuly PGI get off that nonsense package based loyality reward system and simply make rewards tiered by money spent, thats WAY more easy to understand for everyone.

I mean think about your BIGGEST flaw here:

Mauler resistance top package 80$ and people get top IS tier reward.

Phoenix hawk regular price (outside the current discunt) 85$ and it DOES NOT qualify for the IS top tier reward.

That kinda feels extremely wrong.

Some of the replies here amaze me. The sense of entitlement... free things that the devs didn't need to give away, and players complain. For those complaining when they've spent money, a reminder: you spent money for those things not these.

It should be easy to understand that PGI does not hand out rewards just because they are super-nice people. Perhaps they are, but there are also a business company in need of making profit.

That's the prime reason for those rewards; they provide an additional incentive to buy their products. (Hence the annoucement many weeks in advance, giving you time to buy). Mind you, it is not the primary incentive, but it is an incentive and as such it is in the best interest of PGI to give feedback about its effectiveness, optimizing their business strategy. What's never in the best interest of a company is shutting down feedback.

As it stands I get a few Mechs extra, which is nice, but that's it. I personally don't mind that the chosen Mechs are not my most wanted, as I don't think the reward's program is a critical part of MWO. However it also means I am not interested in upgrading any package, which I would have been in case of a few other Mechs like the MAD-9M.

if you bought a lacerator (which would qualify as a hero two purchase), but did it w MC, does that count?

No, it needs to be a purchase from the website store page.

Are you sure?
The announcement says:
[/b][/b][/b][/b][/b][/b][/b][/b]
[/list]A Hero upgrade is a tier of a collection, isn't it?
So if you bought a standard pack last year and an upgrade this year...

Hero add-ons and Reinforcement packs do not qualify for anything with regards to Loyalty Annual Rewards.

That you have to buy an IS pack and a Clan pack to qualify. If you exclusively play one faction, you don't qualify no matter how much stuff you buy.

This isn't about "FREE STUFF GIMME GIMME I'M ENTITLED!" It's about being arbitrarily excluded, which is bad by itself, but even worse when you consider the fact that the people who are excluded are those who help the game by highlighting its RP aspect.

I really thought they wouldn't do this the second time around, but they did. Couldn't they just say "buy any two top-tier collections"? Is "entitlement" really the counter-argument people are going to make for this to reinforce their bad decisions again? Oy.

If you play exclusively one faction, you will not purchase ~50% of the 'mechs on principle, so why would that behaviour be rewarded?

Anybody able to help me understand the wording, I'm a little confused.

I own collectors packs of: Urbanmech (jan/15), Marauder(sept/15), Warhammer(oct/15), Rifleman(nov/15), Archer(dec/19).

And also: Kodiak(feb/16), Night Gyr(aug/17).

The eligibility page says I'm not qualified for top-tier rewards, because I don't have any combination of packages bought within then october window? I'm not following how this well. Do I need to buy or upgrade packages I have to collectors before the nov close date and the packs I do have don't count for anything?

I'm guessing that Archer pack was Dec 2015

Packs bought between

And

Will be eligible, anything before already qualified for previous Rewards schemes.

So, only your Night Gyr pack from Aug 2017 counts for this year's Rewards.

Would love to get @Matt Newman to give some clarity on how buying a $75 Ultimate Pack factors into the Top Tier reward.

It factors giving you ½ of the requirements for top tier reward.
IMO single ultimate pack should count for top tier reward (well maybe excluding light mech packs). Maybe Matt will change it.

Well maybe they publish Piranha pack soon and include it to this years loyalty program.

Ahhhhhh skeeet jumper linebackers all the win for lbk rush decks, forget opening gates

That depends on if 6 JJs can actually help lift you over them.

Oh well, I'm at least happy I'll get a little something from this year for Annual Rewards. I can even look forward to non-loyalty variants of some things for (C-Bills) as well, I hope. :)

I am surprised they don't set up a bonus Reward as something for those who play in nearly every Event as a little something extra, though... Takes a lot to deal with that much madness... Possibly more than those who are whining about the MechPack stuff.

I feel that Top-tier IS/Clan reward depends only for buying 2 collector packs (approx. $80) it's unfair. Pilots, who invest in game greater ammount of money (more than $80) buying lot of Standart packs, Hero addons and Reinforcements are not qualified for Top-tier rewards. PGI pay attention to these players, please. Can it be possible to add this condition to the rewarding program?

Me from the loadout thread:

Loving the new mechs, the patterns are great, can't wait to start trolling with that Uberurbie.
Big thanks for picking the non meta mechs for this, like Snuggles Time I like to derp hard and frequently. (When is he getting his Rainbow decal for his care bear? Pretty please with Kodiak on top.)

Just two suggestions (yes everyone's a critic)
  • Please please please load a light engine into the urbie, preferably a 180 light, let the horde experience the goodness that is urbielife.
  • Include sets of XP and CBill cockpit items (hanging and standing) for IS and CLAN,in the Ultimate Reward. As these are not available for purchase in the store and only available to pilots that spent a pretty penny it would be a great reward, especially for those that qualified but didn't get them from the Civil war packs. I really do feel that the ultimate reward really doesn't live up to the name, which is a real pity, as the way things stand, I will be hard pressed to try and achieve it next year were I to qualify for the top tiers and be short on the ultimate.
Keep up the good work, now I just have to patiently wait till November, but at least I will be getting my Beekeeper pretty soon Posted Image

It still doesn't make any sense to me that total $$$ spent on the game isn't the qualifying factor for what rewards you receive.

Terrible attitude in a "loyalty" program to not reward those that put so much money into the game fully. The way PGI run's this program it will hurt the loyal players more than incentive them to spend more next year. Anyone with even a modicum of business acumen would understand this simple fact. $160 spent is $160 spent whether on collections or MC loyalty is loyalty.
