Did The Snv-1 Deserve A Nerf?

The SNV-1 now went right past the agility of the -3 and the -A, and now shares the same agility as the Boiler and the -C.
And still.. the MCII still has the crown in the assault category, so it probably could have stayed where it was..

instead they shouldve just made ISXL survive side torso blowout

I mean, I think that philosophy was left by the wayside a long time ago, so I'm just trying to look at things in terms of where they are now.

And MCII is not the best mech in the assault category; You can't really use missiles on it, it's arms are weak and easy to crit, and more importantly, a Mech such as the Kodiak beats the crap out of it, both in brawling and armor/speed
But regardless, I too, can't see why it got agility nerf. there's tons of faster assaults that can absolutely shred it if it isn't careful.

Yeah but you can do the same thing on the MAD-IIC and go faster.
Also, the MCII blows the doors off the KDK with not being a barndoor and with the Gauss + laser vomit builds that it can do. It is known.

yeah but thats exactly why the supernova had to be nerfed
because no clan mech can really have good agility as long as ISXL is so much inferior to CXL

yeah but its only a matter of time before the MCII gets nerfed too
theyll likely wait for its sales to drop completely off then hit it with the nerf bat
releasing powercreeped mechpacks then nerfing them later has been a disturbing trend of late...
which is one reason I dont buy mechpacks at all anymore.

The MCII can see itself getting knocked out by a quad Gauss Kdk but we're ignoring this right? 55pinpoint going where it needs to go hurts a lot for the MCII. Sorry the crown is still resting quite firmly on the the MADIIC.

why? it will further increase MCII sales if its the only good clan assault.
and they arnt going to nerf the MCII while its still selling well. People are still buying MCII packs.
PGIs powercreep/nerfs seem entirely motivated around selling mechpacks. not around actual game balance.
Because if game balance is what they wanted, making the ISXL survive side torso blowout is a way better route to go than nerfing all the clan mechs.

If one couldn't properly defend the buff or nerf (particularly those that aren't even well versed in torso twisting or the fundamentals), they will continue to get their voices heard via money.
So, I don't know what else to tell you.

I know, read the other part I added into the post below it.
and the MCII is still weak as is. that's all it's got going for it really. I can't count the times I've focused the arms on it and easily stripped it of it's gauss Rifles and then moved on to something else.
For the arms, you have to burn through 60points of armor before you get to structure, which then is when Gauss rifles easily are destroyed. for side Torsi on a Kodiak, with 6points of back armor, you have to burn through 78 points. And even then, You have to deal with hit reg and making sure it all lands on it., and at that, high heat output.
Either way, there's no true way of comparing them anyways since both are played very differently due to hardpoint placement and Tonnage/chassis.

If anything, they should have buffed the agility on the other Maulers and such instead.

Well, between mobility and having a 2B 6E variant, and not being a barn door, the MCII is definitely better, its a fact. The KDK is pretty dead in non-dakka oriented builds. Somebody focusing on arms isn't really a problem, if they are shooting my arms then they aren't shooting my torso, which means I will survive longer.

Check out the HGN-IIC agility compared to the SNV-1 now. Literally twice the acceleration rate. Cyclops has even more, but it needs it because it more or less plays like a larger heavy anyway.

Oh we're still talking about the Deathstrike good grief you're one of those. It's called Kdk pop a side torso and move on. Not hard to do at 600m. No seriously just stop complaining the MCII is the Clan's most fragile assault mech in the arsenal. If I had to choose between the MCII-DS and the KDK-3 if I had to shoot one, I'm going to choose the KDK-3 depending on distance and weapons. At least you can shrug off a very good chunk of that cERMLs damage by spreading it around.

While that may be true, you lose both Firepower and heat efficiency. If I take your Gauss Rifles, that leaves you with less than 40 dmg with 4E, due to the other 2E being in the arms, You'd again, effectively be out of the match as far as being useful.
Anyways, this ain't about the MKII, it's about a Supernova that didn't need a nerf.

But one alpha can crack open a ST on your KDK...

Yeah, this sounds rude and harsh but I can supply the evidence to back it up.

If you have a log of this, I would be very interested to see it publicly shown here in this thread...
