I personally feel there is no need redeem buttons on it, but for the guys having issues with the event browser this might be needed.

I'll be morbidly curious to see the stats on the size of the player base that gets the headshot done, compared to the normal event completion rates. As it is, this seems arbitrarily difficult; on the order of requiring a player to trapshoot 5 Locusts in midair within a 24 hour period.
Usually I'm all for some not so easy to achieve goals, but tonight we can basically hope for some afk's or disconnects. Other than that - except for some very selected few players - I don't think it'll be doable other than accidentally. Wish they'd done something else like leg x amount of enemies.

So, the reward here is so 'meh' that I don't care that much. But I think it would be amusing if teams started lining up like death cults, each team pushing forward one player in turn to be beheaded. The heads man then steps forward to have _his_ head removed. Rinse, repeat. Last player commits suicide. It would be beautiful.

Tbh, I'm kinda interested in the Atlas Head... then again I'm realist enough that it won't happen other than with a lucky shot or a total potato making a staring competition. Your idea tho seems kinda funny anyway.

Does only damage to mechs count? Or does damage to turrets and destructible walls and buildings count, too?

I think it's based on your damage total and as far as I remember damage to base structures doesn't count towards your damage total. Not 100% sure on that tho.

A random headshot is a once a year event, so the odds of getting one random headshot within two days is around 0.5%.
I mean some players have no problem flying up with jumpjets to achieve an instant headshot from 500m away on a running mech that was in the middle of performing a triple somersault... but most players including the good ones can't manage a headshot even if the mech has shut down from overheat 50m in front of them.
They might as well turn that event into performing two headshots within one day, then go check who needs to be banned for achieving it.
Good luck with that one anyway
