will you guys pleas announce these faction loyalty events in advance. I already have the Kurita decals, mauler camo and the mauler,also I already have the camo for the clan mech. would just like to get the SJ decals. would be real nice if you wavered the desertion tome for this.
Or did I miss the announcement about this last week. because I didn't see it in my future event tab till today.

They did the same thing during Tukayyid III - they announced it at the last minute.

They specifically DON'T announce it in advance to prevent loyalists from merely jumping ship.

Why doesn't PGI ever ask us what makes a good tournament? Some of us have only been playing this game since Summer 2014...

The big question for PGI is:

On this (and recent previous events) what happens for those of us that STILL can't access the in-game event browser at the end of the two week post-event mark? Will we still be awarded our earned prizes?

Can't you just make it that the Mauler is a "definitve" reward instead of a "thats never going to happen"-reward?

I remember Russ saying no more Tukayyid-styled events...

*sighs* So "Loyalist Event" means "no one else except Loyalists for that specific side actually gets a prize"...real smart...

I think they want the IS to win this one so they thing a big assault mech will have more people jump to IS to tip the balance in IS favor.
as for me. I'm not going to waste my time on this event. I already have every thing they have to offer. the mech the camo the paint.
if they let me jump to SJ so I could get the decals that would be fine. I already have the camo the paint and the mech.

If you broke loyalty 3-5 days ago from Kurita or SJ, your desertion penalty will finish half way through the event allowing to do both. This is why PGI didn't announce the event, only a few people will be in this position.

I have a question:

If you think these events should be announced far enough in advance so that loyalists and mercenaries have enough time to jump loyalty without penalty....then why have multiple factions?

Wouldn't it be more fair to everyone if it was just Team A against Team B and everyone gets to participate in every event ever? You don't have to worry about one faction getting access to a faction-specific event while you have to slog through normal combat.

Back to reality, it's great that we have faction-specific events like this WITHOUT letting people manipulate their loyalties to farm event rewards... What SHOULD be happing is waaaay more of these events so people don't feel left out if a new event doesn't include them; there should be an upcoming one for them really soon. More faction-specific events negates the need to faction-hop

All this whining about choosing faction for loyalist reward.... C'mon, people. If you are choosing side for a reward you are not a loyalist. If you are a merc, you are not a loyalist in any way. Too greedy. Please stop this nonsense.

During events there's hardly any ghost drops so IS having more players is irrelevant. The number of players each side will mainly effect waiting times, quick drops on less populated side and waiting on the more populated.

Plus Clan will likely have more players like before as people like to stack to side winners and worst mechs will be on IS side.

I said already that the better and closer match (especially given MC values) would be the champion mauler and an ebon jaguar, with reason why in an earlier post in this thread. I think its bottom of page 3.
