I checked the forum yesterday before logging in to play, saw that there was a problem and decided to come back when it was fixed.
If you don't go to the forum and can do everything in-game, the feedback is instant after the first match. Do you guys really not check your progress and just take it on faith that the new event system, which is the buggiest thing ever introduced to MWO, is working perfectly?

As a complete amateur to the FW scene, Invasion appeared to be a situation of feast or famine. It's feast if it's a map with long corridors of attack with choke points to exploit as a clan player. It's famine if there is a lot of cover and winding paths to deal with battling brawl style IS mechs that simply laugh at your damage as they press through. I wish a few of the more extreme maps were altered or eliminated with new maps presented that enforces a stronger happy medium of range and cover, as well as attack angle.

I did 100 odd damage in a scouting match running a Raven with Stealth Armour. My team was all Bushwackers and the enemy was running StormCrows. Team got wiped except me (3 enemy mechs left, 1 was however legged) however the drop ship wasn't called yet, not enough intel.
I had to run around and collect intel to call the drop ship, evade enough for the timer to run out and won the match for my team. At the end I received the lowest match score not even breaking a score of 100.
What the hell is the point of this game mode if the only way to get match score is to unscout/avoid the OBJ bring a slow medium and team fight? Mind Blown at the stupidity of the reward ratio for this game mode.

The comedy of the post aside, it does raise a valid point. There are times, especially in a PUG, when brawling isn't a great option. Like you want to win with a PUG, and two knuckleheads on the team decide to bring MG MLX. At that point you either grab a brawler and hope you're killed last so you can get a decent score, or you grab some combination of fast and stealthy, and try to win because, hey, maybe help out the guys playing Invasion?
I understand that any kind of scoring that's in place will be gamed: it's just what happens. But scouting is kinda uninteresting as either de facto 4-on-4 with mediums (I cringe when I see a light in the line up, because experience tells me we're losing 90% of the time), or it's a romping game of tag where no one gets much out of it.

Edit: The issue seems to be resolved. Although I'm far behind now, better than it not working at all.

Let it never be said that all I do is complain... I'd like to credit PGI with an event that seemed to strike the right balance of doable, worthwhile rewards for the effort invested, and enough time for casual players (even those who don't do Faction that much) to have a reasonable chance of success. This was also the first event under the new system where I wasn't having to throw together weird mech configurations to achieve X, and that I'd tear down as soon as I got X. So thumbs up for keeping this event more organic than they have been.
Regarding the lost games at the beginning of the event... I'm of two minds. On one hand, I didn't find getting the 150 match scores all that difficult, and getting games wasn't hard, so even with the lost games I got everything done in less than a day. On the other hand... PGI said that the event started at a certain time. People, possibly people who don't have as much free time as I do, seemed to have planned around the listed start time. And the event didn't start at the listed start time. Folks who were planning their weekend around having that early time are going to be aggrieved. I'm not suggesting that PGI owes anyone anything, but this seems like an avoidable self-inflicted wound. The mental image I have is that the folks at PGI left to start their weekend without validating that the event was actually running.

While I am admittedly a little bit annoyed that a handful of my games were not salvageable even retroactively, I luckily have time to carry on grinding... and a grind it is, because I seem to have developed an unwanted expertise at getting just below 150 points... Have gotten at least 149, 148 twice, 145 and 142 today... :/ Altogether, I have 21 scouting wins, but I am still at 8/12 as far results go. In one particularly strange match, all eight players failed to exceed 150 even though two members of each team died.

One might argue that the message should be, "IS, get your sh*t together"
I also wonder if that might not be the genesis of the seemingly vast Mauler vs Mist Lynx(C) disparity: encouraging the higher end mercs to jump on the IS bandwagon for a bit.
