Got 2x back cored from a friendly NSR because of convergence... does good damage....

Just had two matches with it, and its fun. It's still an IS assault, and all the arm actuators coupled with IS weapons means that trying to squeeze a decent build into it is, as always, disappointing. Still, it handles nicely. I also like the design, so much better that the TT trash art, though I think the 9J(S) paintjob is hurt a bit by the number of angles and 'missing paint' on those angles. It breaks up the pattern.

Of all the fuss, the thing that still bothers me the most is "Nightstar arms as pointed out by some is getting changed."

It's boring as hell, but the NSR-9J can fit 22x DHS with 5x ERLL which, IMHO, makes it one of the top IS Assaults for that role.

If it weren't for those pesky hand actuators, the Nightstar could even run somewhat comparable builds.

I hate the walk anims but I think it looks about as good as it could have.

idk what exactly you expected, Bishop, the sides aren't as big as what the MAD had in comparison to the concept art.

Yes, but no energy hard points (On the arms), nor ECM. So you can't run the Gauss+Energy Vomit that people wanted, or a Stealth Gauss Build.

Meta builds ruin the game. Its also a very boring build. No skill needed. Yuck

That one only has two ballistics in each arm and the 9P has four spread among both arms and both sides, making the lack of actuators moot for the main reason they were complained about: being unable to run two slots of energy with seven slots of ballistics.

Yep Called it. I love how people were using the whole "if you can see if you can shoot it" argument to support the arms being moved up. Welp, with the arms being moved up, I see it, and I shoot.....but half the time my shots now hitting walls, hills or other friendly mechs as I try to corner poke with the mech. Seems that I CAN'T shoot what I see with the arm angle moved up.

Yeah - it brings it to cockpit level, which you have a reference for, it being you're viewpoint. Allows you to direct fire at eye level without trying to gauge how underslung it'll be.
