o.o???

Not quite.
The "reinforcement" Arctic Wolves do not have their parts available for public use without having bought them at the moment.

....That's why Smurfy is confused.

They are still Omnimechs. Pretty interesting glitch on Smurfy's end though.

Huh. Opening up Sarna because I was curious as to whether the "1 and 2" which are NOT canon Omnimech designations were canon units.... Turns out the Battlemech and Omnimech versions are n the same page of Sarna.net and count as the same mech. Variant 1 and 2 are Battlemechs. Prime, A, and not-available J are Omnimechs. The P and BloodKit, made up for MWO, are an Omni (P) and a Battlemech (BloodKit)

Looks like PGI actually tried here.
....A shame there isn't something that openly states while in the store or mechlab "Omnimech" or "Battlemech" to avoid confusion.

(Just wish they tried as hard with the animations, the cut and past stuff isn't working due to extra joints.)

The Hero is an Omni? Should be a Battlemech too (I don't own it... only the standard pack).

The only way to see it atm I know is looking at the max engine rating. If there is anything but "-" then they are Battlemechs. If there is "-" then they are omnis... worked until now at least.

The hero is a battlemech. It cannot change 'pods', it allows you to switch FF & EE on or off, and is able to swap engines in game.

I've never seen one like that.

(We were teammates in a game earlier today)

Ahhhh, thanks! I did not read or hear about this anywhere and I thought I was crazier then normal.

And the numbers were off. But the HERO Bloodkit is showing up as a Battle Mech.

From the store page right on the website.

If you look at the variants listed and their "hardpoints", you will see that three have "Omnipods" and three have "Hardpoints". So it was mentioned, along with the stated "max engine cap" also listed on the three battlemech versions.

Going down the rabbit hole a bit further. On the 3 Omni Mechs, you CANNOT switch out engines and you can on the 3 Battle Mechs. Which is semi-normal maybe?

Yes, even I found it after a while, but not without going to Smurfy's. And I would not call that "being clear" on them. This game is horrible about stating facts.

The differences between omnimechs and battlemechs (in MWO) is that battlemechs have fixed hardpoints, but everything else is customizable. While Omnis can switch out pods to customize hardpoints, but they have both fixed equipment and locked engine/armor options/internal structure.

Agreed with that one. Would be nice to have a bit more "Clan" and "IS"; and "battlemech" and "Omnimech" clarifications in the game itself. Sometimes it's hard to explain to someone that the mech they just bought is a Clan mech, and can't be used for the IS Drop Deck in FP... Posted Image At least not till it is bought and you can sort by IS/Clan type...

So is the Arctic Wolf Blood Kit any good? I need a fast medium Clan Mech or Omnimech to use as a harrasser/ capper.
