You need to select the correct planet to drop for the event part.
To do this, go to the event tab ingame and select your faction matchup (where you see the rewards) and press the blue button marked "Go now" at the bottom right.
That way you will go to the correct match up of IS vs IS or clan vs clan immediately.

Best from both worlds. Its great as always to have something like this. Keep it as such with some fine tuning like others have suggested. Like increasing loot bag rewards for Faction play, since it takes longer to get a match, not as many play that mode (might change now) as QP etc

So there is the possibility of getting Clan vs IS until 2 pm this afternoon when the battle window changes and the Main Faction Play conflict will be turned off.
Also, we are adding 2 more Mechs to the Pick a Prize options.
- Griffin GRF-2N and a mech Bay (Standard Mech)
- Nova NVA-PRIME and a mech Bay (Standard Mech)
- The original 2 Mechs (HBK and SCR) are (S) with a 30% C-Bill Boost but they are not "sellable"
- The 2 new Mechs (GRF and NVA) are Standard Variants and you can sell them Back for C-BIlls

I like this Idea! I will see if we can make that change for Stocking Stuffer 2017!

Still not random?
Why not 2 random and other 2 the way you want?

Also, the populations you have of each faction displayed in the game, does your count include loyalist players that stopped playing this game? I feel your numbers in populations in each faction is made alot bigger than they really are.

Keep reading PGI: ppl wonder if they can get an actual FW match during the event and not only ghost drops.

last cw event was 1 bucket of ~5k vs ~5k players
now we have 6 buckets of ~800 vs ~800 players
spread over all time zones worldwide and the whole event duration
Unfortunately the number of active players are uneven for the factions....
Player Numbers from Battle for Luthian and pairing for trick or treat....
Good luck everybody getting 150matches.
I expect a fix not later than Monday.

The events do not change the baseline mechanics of the FW mode, which include the drop tonnage limits for the respective tech bases. Clan scouting decks are limited to 50 tons and 240 tons in invasion. Thus... no crows in scouting.

Its actually currently 8 buckets... 7 for the event specific same tech faction vs faction events and also the any IS vs any clan bucket is still there, and I worry many players WON'T think to click thru the faction event details list in the game UI to find the one for their respective faction v faction bucket and will be lazy and just click "fight there" on the top bucket which is the IS vs Clan one until it is turned off in a bit over 3 hours from now.
