Seriously someone hit the bottle quite hard before they "volumetrically" scaled the Thantos so all I got to say is....
PGI, YOU GOT 4 DAYS TO GET THIS THING BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND SCALED CORRECTLY!!!

And the thing is pretty much spot on from the concept art.
I bet it'll come out of the gate quirked pretty good. Not sure what you're suppose to do with those giant torsos there except get them blown off immediately.
Tempted to buy it because it'll be challenging to figure out how to play. I like the way it looks TBH...functionally, not so much.

Glad i went for a fast medium (Hellspawn) instead of this!.
Edit: Thanny needs to lay off the cheesy poofs, it's like the Eric Cartman of mechs.

The Hellspawn is going a hitbox nightmare of its own, not sure I'd use it to disparage the Thanatos just yet.

and?
Sorry if it messes with the metalords, but I have no issues with some degree of standardization.

The be honest, when I first looked at the front profile, I was like yeah that is about right but when I looked at the side profile I was like, "Huh? Wait a minute...the Thanatos has twice the side profile of any of the other mechs pictured.
I mean look at the Orion which has the most similar body type to the Thanatos. From the frontal profile it is obvious it has much more bulk through the torso area especially in the area just above the waist. The Orion makes a "V" down to the waist, the Thanatos is just a big box. That right there is a huge amount of volume. Then when you look at the side profile back to front there is easily twice as much bulk on the Thanatos and that is when I went, "Nope, no way in hell". The Orion is a skosh taller so some of the bulk can be account for there but that only account for about the amount of width we see at the waist area on the Tanatos. The front to rear bulk however is not accounted for therefore the mech overall should just be about 10-15% smaller than it is.
But hey if you all don't see the problem, I can't expect PGI to so guess we are just going to get an oversized Tanatos. Lets hope it gets quirked to compensate.
