So How Do You Build Loyalty Griffin?

2E, 2M and 4B, but the arm has lower actuator and hands so no AC20 builds. Maybe MG spam? Would 2x MRM30 work?
Really this is my first Griffin, i don't know how one builds it.

contemplating giving up the light gauss for something else. i could go full machine guns and put some mrms in there. but the ballistics velocity quirk goes unused. maybe i can try to cram a bunch of uac2s in there and lasers, ignore the missiles.

I recommend 4MGs + SRM 6x2 or MRM20x2 + 2mpls. I feel like this is a mech you would want to brawl lighter targets in.

Yeah, i do think that Griffins are a beast on brawls, it's just that i don't know what the **** to do with meager missile and energy hardpoints, and an abundance of ballistichard points on a single arm that cannot host an AC20.

You could also try a UAC/10 +3MGs - with missiles and smaller lasers as backups.
I will say this is better than the loyalty wolverine at least.

Ferro + endo, Light 265, one jumpjet. two tons of AC10 ammo.
1 AC10 + 2 Snub-nose PPCs. No armor on Left arm, -8 on head, -2 on each legs.
Moves 78.1 without skill tree.

I was thinking of not using MGs at all. Maybe MRM10s and UAC10s.
MRMs are really bad because it forces that missile pod to appear as soon as you put any single missile, worsening the hitboxes. I highly recommend people to not use missile pod(s) unless you are fully going for missiles. But with two hardpoints, only viable one is MRMs, and it is such terrible weapon for this mech because it forces to facetank enemies.
So I think mini-Orion is probably only viable build, other than other builds involving machineguns.

4xLMG with 1.5 tons ammo.
2xSRM6+A with 2.5 tons ammo.
2xMPL.
Left arm is shield arm. Burst down guys with missiles and pulses while shielding with left arm. Once open use LMG to help crit.

I always though the griffins were sluggish for a medium mech.

Well all I can say is my Thanatos that only goes 70 kph feels like it moves faster than the Griffin. I know its not actually moving faster but I can't shake the perception that it does. Weird though, I have a whole bunch of medium mechs that run around the 82 kph range and it is the only one where I feel like I am moving about 60 kph in.
