I'm travelling that day, crossing 14 time zones, and want to make sure I get it right.
I also don't want to be the only kid on the block who doesn't have two shiny new hero 'mechs!

It was posted somewhere that the event will last for 36 hours. Can't find the exact times, but you can calculate them from the timers on the event page.

Frankly, only two things are bothering me about the Stocking Stuffer, simply because of how the 'Difficulty Wall' is currently looking. That's the lack of WarHorns in the Loot Bags, and the 250 MS for each CW/FW/FP Match. Those would be easily fixed by adding the New Christmas Bell WarHorn (and some other nice random ones, like the WorkSite, Radial, Cameron Star, and Clan Dagger... Looking for Red/White/Green/FUN! here...) to the Loot Bags, and setting only a 225 MS need (Again for certain peoples' references, looking for "Challenging-yet-Attractive"!!!) for Earning 2 Loot Bags per CW/FW/FP Match. Other than that, things are shaping up to be wildly awesome, at least in my own opinion.
Now, as for this...

Thanks! I should have plenty of time upon arrival to get a few games in (main and two alts).

Quite a few of us have been suggesting MS cumulative total as a goal rather than per match, but so far it hasn't sunken in yet. We know cumulative MS is possible since it's been done before, recently even.

In other words, ask for 125 MS per Quick Play, and 225 MS per Faction Warfare. Right now, things look more like work than something that someone could enjoy, and someone else is apparently already more angry than I am.

(p.s.: "MS" refers to "Match Score" in my post, NOT "MercStar"...)
Wait, there aren't 225 MercStar players in each of your FP games? I think you're doing FW wrong .

Also, some people simply like getting into the spirit of things that are going on without worrying about any cost/benefit analysis...major event rewards need to be accessible to most players with significant, yet ultimately achievable effort. This is why the cumulative match score is a great idea...if someone can only achieve 150 FW match score at a time, they should be able to bang their head against the wall until they reach the same total someone else did 250 match score at a time. There is nothing more frustrating than looking at your score at the end of the match and seeing that you missed the bar by five, ten, or fifteen points and everything you just did was all for nothing. Matt has said that for events they're trying to push people out of scouting and into invasion...that's all well and good, but the way invasion is scored makes scouting the preferred method for me. Even if only one 250 score scouting match (or 250 points toward the total in an incremental system) counted per half hour increment to make it equivalent to the time commitment for an invasion match, I'd still prefer scouting because I have greater control over the outcome.
And some just want PGI to know their efforts are appreciated and to continue to offer us events. If nobody completes them, yes, it sends a message...but how can you be sure it's the correct one?

This, i have no problem with most of the good swag being fairly accessible, with a particularly niche reward for those daring/dedicated/crazy/bored enough... problem is that someone will always complain if it doesn't suit their particular expectation/schedule....

very hard to get in a scouting match.
a loss in invasion and you most likely wont get it.
a win in invasion and you loss 3 or 4 mech and may not get it unless you are over 1500 damage.
should be automatic loot bag for just playing (tortured) faction games.

..? You think you should just be able to get something for no effort?
