[Redacted] all I.S. mech have stupid armor ..when i can can atk and kill 2 assault mechs and get 690 dmg and thats from the back of the mech.. and I.S. has assassin, javelin, annihilator, thanatos, roughneck and hellspawn. not to mention how much of a pain they are to kill

The Clan damage advantage more often than not compensates for any armour/structure quirks an IS 'mech has. Quirks that not all IS 'mech get. Quirks that some Clan 'mechs get.

690 damage to kill 2 IS Assaults from the back? You need better aim.

Assassin? Sure, hard to kill.
Javelin? Sure, hard to hit.
Annihilator? Don't stand in the open.
Thanatos? Easy to hit, easy to kill.
Roughneck? Tough, but lots of low weapons.
Hellspawn? Shoot the missile pods or that massive RT/CT combo.

My turn?

Clans have the Arctic Cheetah, Hunchback IIC, Huntsman, Nova, Ebon Jaguar, Hellbringer, Linebacker, Nova Cat, Night Gyr, Orion IIC, Marauder IIC, Mad Cat Mk II & Supernova.

Stop whining about the Sun Spider.

So...
When are we going to see the following things:
Size comparison to other 100 tonner assaults and smaller assaults
Quirks (these side torsos and legs are sure HUGE, big nono to light or XL engine).
I second the vote to up the max engine rating, at least for 1 or 2 variants. Hero mech should have it for sure.
Otherwise we won't see a single Fafnir in CW, because it's going to be to slow.
Unless maybe a sniper - but it's not a role for an assault mech.
So - Give us armor quirks, make it smaller than an Atlas and give us a 360 engine rating, at least for 1 or 2 variants i.e. hero and special variant.

Otherwise it's not worth spending money on it, as it is now.

This mech is for Stalker pilots.
I am.

I like the Fafnir looks :)

not sure what the heck I'd do with another 100t mech collecting dust, but I'm really tempted to get it right away ;)

I am thinking it will have a similar profile to the Nightstar so that it will stand somewhere between the KGC and the AS7 in height...

Depending on the hitboxes for thost STs... yeah, that might be a big deal, especially with a low engine cap...

I agree, the guy needs better aim but...

Assassin hard to kill? I got armored funnelled to the front, maximum survival tree, STD engine, and still die in less than 20 seconds of combat despite being 129 kph. And that's from multiple torso loss. I've actually come to learn if I want a chance in an assassin the only thing I can do to increase my survival rate is NOT get into any combat where I can be shot at.

Javelin... painful to face... but easy to kill. Shoot leg, shoot butt if visible otherwise other leg, laugh. Also fun is a twin Gauss + multiple MG combination, open the can, pepper the ammo (usually in legs), watch go boom.

Missile pods (on Hellspawn; that goofy thing with the big sticky box) actually don't have much of a hitbox if at all; damage doesn't seem to register and when it does it registers on the arm only (and even then it'd cut to 40% damage transfer if it didn't disappear) I don't know how you're doing that or if you're just assuming. The door, strangely, seems to have half a hitbox and it shouldn't, but the pod itself doesn't register damage. This is another case of just shoot the legs.

The profile says FP beta vet...yet...you're asking new player questions... which makes me wonder if someone bought/sold their account on one of the 3rd party gamer vending websites.

They don't show off the size comparison or the quirks until the final week before their patch day. That's been the case for at LEAST two years now.

The Assassin has wonky hitboxes. Apparently. I don't recall having much trouble hitting / killing them, but a fair few people do.

Yeah, the Javelin will fold when hit (like the Assassin), but it's pretty slim so can be hard to hit.

The missile pods are indeed part of the arms. They're hard to miss, really, and can be hit from almost any angle. The RT/CT snout is another easy target.

As is, this will be a terrible mech in game with massive side torso's filled with Gauss rifles..

It looks pretty, but you'd better hope for lots of armour quirks on them, because this mech has easy target written all over it.

I am going to be salty on dat one... I do not see a reason to buy an other 100 tonner right now. My Atlas R(L) is collecting dust, my King Crab 000(L) is collecting dust, my Kodiaks are collecting dust, my Daishi Prime(S) is collecting dust. Annihilator, i don't have one, but well. Who wants to drive a turret anyway ?

Maybe if you fix the 100 tonners line for agility and/or durability, i will buy it. But, right now ? 100 tons with 325 engine max ? Herrm no. Even a Atlas with 350 engine and Kodiak with 400 engine is sluggish like hell, it's nearly impossible to drive them.

...because 100 tonners are supposed to be nimble and the 400XL Kodiak didn't break the game....

("Pass the salt please!")
