In theory the alpha with a double tap should 112 dmg, but the setup might be fragile and it's a little lower on ammo than I'd like.

While its not the same thing, i have ran 2GR, 2ERLL, and 2 ATM-6 on it with some success, and you can easily drop the GRs for 2 UAC10 and gain top engine with the deal as well as ammo and heatsinks. Its not exactly meta, but i can actually see such a build working fairly well...

- 2 ER LL -- good for suppression 300m-750m, even with no arms
- UAC 10 -- nice dps out to 575m
- LBX 10 -- low heat crits out to 575m
- 1 T of each ammo
- Almost max armor

Std280/AC10 template
Stats:
- 73 Firepower (with 2 x 18 dmg C-ATM 9 as basis)
91 Firepower (with 2 x 27 dmg C-ATM 9 as basis) - 53.4 Flank
- 1.40 Heat
- Std 280
- ECM -- ninja blanket
- 2 SRM 9 -- okay vs fast tinies between 150-300m
- 1 ER LL -- good for suppression 300m-750m, even with no sides
- 1 ER ML -- a little bit of additional damage 150m-580m, nice support for the other weapons
- AC 10 -- sustained suppression out to 580m, with 40% less heat generation than UAC
- 2 T of AC/10 ammo
- 1.5T of ATM ammo
- Almost max top armor, except a pip from head
XL340/UAC10 loadout variation
Stats:
- 73 Firepower (with 2 x 18 dmg C-ATM 9 as basis)
91 Firepower (with 2 x 27 dmg C-ATM 9 as basis) - 64.8 Flank
- 1.37 Heat
- XL 340
- ECM -- ninja blanket

I used ammunition in my hands before I lost the hand vith gauss and the remaining ammunition

Gonna go with ASH on this one, move at least some of your Gauss ammo to the arms for crit padding. It might just help you keep the gun a little longer.

Personally I'd be running it like THIS - Simply because you will never need 70+ rounds of Gauss for QP. I run 4T on my MCIIs and that's still enough for 1400dmg game in, game out.

Speaking of the guy that wont crit-pad gauss. Opened his arm just the last game. What happened? Gauss popped instantly...

I killed 1 light and die from another 1 light & 1 heavy. Zero chance tho survive in assault mech vs light + heavy in close.
