Realized this would fit on my mad iic and wondered if anyone had tried it before. Just curious before I drop a few million Cbills.

MAD-IIC-D

In theory the alpha with a double tap should 112 dmg, but the setup might be fragile and it's a little lower on ammo than I'd like.

Personally, I'd drop the ATMs down to a pair of 9's and use the tonnage for heat sinks in the side torsos, both for crit padding and to keep it shooting a bit longer. Otherwise the loadout looks pretty solid

EDIT: Ok so you're going to have slot issues anyway. If you can afford to slap a bigger engine in there to fill the remaining tonnage that could work too

It might work, but be aware that using anything more then a 6 tube launcher makes the arm hitboxes MASSIVE, and if you are gonna have all your weapons in arms, you really are better off not making their hitboxes any bigger then absolutely necessary.

While its not the same thing, i have ran 2GR, 2ERLL, and 2 ATM-6 on it with some success, and you can easily drop the GRs for 2 UAC10 and gain top engine with the deal as well as ammo and heatsinks. Its not exactly meta, but i can actually see such a build working fairly well...

My MAD tends to loss its arms fast. I try to keep the primary weapons in the torso. Reason I hate my Nova is same issue! Ya it can take a million medium lasers! But 2 minutes into the fight I am missing both arms and the other team is laughting at me.

I'm running 2x UAC10, 2x LRM15, 2x ERLL on mine for now - until I can get a bigger engine and replace the LRM with SRM.

  • Almost max armor

If you can control your panic spam and use C-ATMs within 150m-300m, this is a beast loadout.

Std280/AC10 template
Stats:
  • 73 Firepower (with 2 x 18 dmg C-ATM 9 as basis)

    91 Firepower (with 2 x 27 dmg C-ATM 9 as basis)
  • 53.4 Flank
  • 1.40 Heat

  • Std 280
  • ECM -- ninja blanket

You can tweak this template for your play style. I prefer STD engines because of increased survivability after losing both sides. Other pilots prefer XL engines because of increased survivability from manueverability at 64.8 kph.

And at the end of the game after you lose a rifle you've still got 30 rounds left.

Anyway - it was a build improvement suggestion, upto you if you listen or not.

I used ammunition in my hands before I lost the hand vith gauss and the remaining ammunition

Gonna go with ASH on this one, move at least some of your Gauss ammo to the arms for crit padding. It might just help you keep the gun a little longer.

Personally I'd be running it like THIS - Simply because you will never need 70+ rounds of Gauss for QP. I run 4T on my MCIIs and that's still enough for 1400dmg game in, game out.

Speaking of the guy that wont crit-pad gauss. Opened his arm just the last game. What happened? Gauss popped instantly...

And u ran to forum say about your "win".

I killed 1 light and die from another 1 light & 1 heavy. Zero chance tho survive in assault mech vs light + heavy in close.
