Didn't see one yet, figured it's time to start it.

How is it?

Why is it so damn tall? What happened to cool-looking low-slung chicken walkers like the Nova? Mile-long legs with a short squatty torso is the worst look..

It's so out of proportion.

They never said it was Nova sized...

She's pretty clearly Bushwacker sized... if anything I think she's a little smaller... at least from the side, and her legs are thinner too...

After watching Proton play it, I'm excited to try it out. Seems a lot of fun. Has the staying power of a 55 tonner, but can dip out in a hurry if things start to get hairy.

Undergunned but fun.

Shadow Cat with no jump jets.

Plays between the Linebacker and Shadow Cat.

Don't see a legit spot for it in CW drop deck but I will probably squeeze in a couple regardless.

Yeah I know they never said it was smaller, but I honestly think the legs should be scaled down. It just doesn't look right with long, enormous legs and a little tiny torso. It looks like the legs are out of scale with the rest of the mech.

I'm OCD on proportions. So it's almost certainly just me.

It supposed to be tall and slim actually, not short and fat, and not tall and fat like it turned out to be.

I'd have preferred the 'Mech be a bit leaner and meaner looking, but... all things considered...

At least we didn't get this version:

I think the LL Black Lanner looks so much better, stance-wise. I like the MWO torso model better but the way LL scaled the legs and the torso just makes for a much better-looking and more aggressive stance.

It really looks too fat. I'd have no problems with it being slightly taller or longer if the legs and the parts that missile launchers go on get a bit thinner

How anyone thought a mech that canon looks like this was going to be tall and lanky, I'll never know.

But the most offical one, is the one from the TRO, as it seems that Alex takes the TRO art more seriously when he does his renditions and rethinks. So if someone wants to extrapolate what mechs will look like, look to the TRO's... With one notable exception being the Bushwacker, as she is depicted in two different ways in the same TRO, with the cover art seeming to be the version that is best represented in all other forms of media it is in.

I think I'll one up you on this. It's time to bring out my handy-dandy bingo board.

Ehhhh, I guess this thread is close enough to fill the "x is useless" spot.

On a more serious note, I am looking forwards to it coming for Cbills. I'm currently kinda tight on cash(hence why I didn't preorder it) but I will definitely play it when it's out for Cbils.

Squishy like most MWO mediums, Arctic Cheetah is tougher. Very easy to leg and don't turn around. Too big hit-boxes. Hitboxes of a Heavy makes it an easy kill for SRMs, MGs, MRMs, LBX. Squishier than a Shadow Cat and Linebacker. And, as usual, no quirks if you use the omnipods. Posted Image

Uhh... factually incorrect statement? All Black Lanners have +10% range, and omnipods have durability quirks tied to them (not set of 8).
