My biggest questions is on the 32 bit system removal what am I supposed to do about playing, my OS is 32 and cant out right afford another one for some time because of my fixed income will it still play from steam or is it getting removed from there as well?

Did you miss out on the free Windows 10 upgrade? I know there were some people who refused to install it for whatever reason.

They did say that they will continually review and adjust the divisions periodically.

So which IS mech can boat 7 Heavy PPCs, i've seen the Battlemaster 1G has the hardpoints for it, but if the remaining 6.5T doesn't afford you an engine, the missing heat sinks from that engine, & armor. Were you guys going to add IS LPL & ERLL to that list and just forgot (plenty of IS mechs can boat 6 but then that's still legal), unless in solaris arena you can mix your tech between IS & Clan freely. Or whoever came up with that list is just being trolly by adding one IS weapon amid a bunch of clan tech. 'Course it's all a moot point since the only thing you'll ever see at div-1 is dual H-Gauss, unless all of the arena maps are going to be as big as polar highlands, there's no reason to take anything else.

Dire Wolf in Division 1?

Timber Wolf in Division 2?

OMEGALUL.

Clearly NOT. if they even bothered to consult the top comp players like denairwalker... who incidentally HAS made an accurate mech tier list.... then the Divisions would look vastly different...

for reference: https://docs.google....Xh_gI/htmlview#
this list is actually accurate to reality and actually explains why.

once again. PGI proves to be delusional.

This is 1v1, quite different from pugging or faction, with no coolshots. That should be obvious, along with the similarities the lists share and the preverlace of higher alpha mechs in the top tiers.

I'm not saying PGI got it right, but this argument is well...

Sun Spider hit box adjustments

I thought we were getting side torso armor bonus's, dont see how they can help the spider with hitbox adjustments should have given it +10 armor on the ST's.

Only a few Mediums in tier-1, and they are a bunch of Huntsman and a single Arctic Wolf.
I also noticed the high numbers of clan lights and mediums in tier-2.
Does this reflect the true, hard numbers confirmation that the clan light and medium chassis are far superior to the Inner Sphere counterparts???
For that matter, I'm seeing a higher percentage of clan tech in all the higher tiers respectively.

I guess these numbers will finally end the debate about which chassis are superior.
How does the saying go - numbers don't lie, but liars figure???
Peace

one of the Annihilators can.

also, Dual LB20s. prob with Hgauss is the Charge time and weight. LB20s'll let you carry other weapons, plus they have a lot more inherent crit, AND will always give you at least some damage, whereas a Hgauss wiff means you get none.

predicting the most common setups for solaris'll be dual 10/20-grade ACs of the various types more than Heavy Gauss. they're dependable twitch shot weapons.

Do not like the Clan Machine Gun nerfs overall because of light clan mechs spamming Machine Guns.

I love the idiots citing the clan mechs in higher divisions than IS mechs as proof clan is better...... 1v1 and 12v12 are completely different scenarios. in 12v12 that light mech will get instagibbed, in 1v1 it wont. thats y clan mechs are higher in solaris than the faction play balance (which already has a tonnage difference to balance it out.

The 2 factions are the most balanced they have ever been in 12v12 mode with the exception of clan MG boating especially on pirahna need more nerf than it is recieving the mg pirahna needs a neg quirk on the variant not the weapon for everyone.

Unfortunately it is probably no longer being offered for free, I just got the option to upgrade for free through Windows Update when I had Windows 7 a while ago. Check the Windows website though, there may still be a way to get it free (legally).

Hi there, Ed & Heavy... I notice one other thing has not been brought up in this conversation. However, this question has to be asked, as a lot can't apply without it.

Heavyarms76, what are your computer's Hardware Specifications? We know you have a 32-Bit Windows 7, but what are your CPU/RAM/GPU? Also, is there any other useful tidbits that you can share with us?

For 's reference (and only as a friendly reminder, so no taking offense to my post please), if Heavyarms76 doesn't have a 64-Bit CPU in the first place, as well as enough RAM to support it, then there's no way a 64-Bit OS would be compatible. Also, Windows 10's 32-Bit Edition can't run 64-Bit programs anyway, due to lack of the ability to support it at the hardware level.

~D. V. "Covering the critical questions of this discussion..." Devnull

(p.s.: This right here is an absolutely prime example of why PGI needed to have Better & Large Announcements about Ending 32-Bit Support, as well as a much longer time window! Not everyone can just throw down Real Life $$$ at the drop of a hat for new hardware!)

Steam version will also be affected.

Is your 32-bit OS Windows 7 or newer? If so, your existing license key covers the 64-bit version already, you just need the install disc. Mind you, this means OS reinstallation (and obviously BACKING UP YOUR DATA first)

Good points. If you don't know how to determine what CPU you have, you can use CPU-Z to obtain detailed information on your hardware.

actually, MG boating is not going to be effective in 1v1 or 2v2. reason being is Machine Gun boats need the chaos of a larger fight to be effective. they need their bigger opponents to be distracted. in 1v1, their opponent only has them to deal with, and the Piranha isn't fast enough to be survivable with a lot of its division mates. 2v2'd be even worse for it because the two opponents can easily cover each other's backs, which is the only place it's effective at all, MG boats don't wear through frontal armor, they need other mechs to do that for them so they can vulture criticals.

Only BLR-1G has the hardpoints for it, and it doesn't have the tonnage to fit heat sinks even with no armor.
