If they are able to correctly fit up to at least 2 ballistic or energy weapons (build depending) in each shoulder mounted gun pod in addition to having both pods be of matching sizes and placement on the shoulders, I'd call it good enough. Extending the gun pod size and dealing with weapon barrels this late in development probably isn't going to happen.

What I'd like to see is the Lasers placed similar to the Stormcrow and Black Lanner, and the Ballistic aligned similar the Timber Wolf A. All aligned in one row from left to right. Instead of both being scattered all over the torso.

OMG, they made stubby little shoulder guns default for both energy and ballistic weapons. At least gauss is flipped.

Concept art with an additional hardpoint ABOVE the default singular hardpoints nails a majority of people expectations, including myself. Love how in the concept art, the ST "rail guns" are slightly smaller but protrude much farther. Lot of people like the protruding look of the shoulder mounted hardpoints. Retaining rail gun look while adding an additional hard point strikes a great balance between having a larger, easier to target hitbox and proper hard point functionality and utility. I personally want them to look like the rail guns on Metal Gear GANDER. PLEASE DELIVER BLOOD ASP SALVATION UNTO US PGI!!!

While I agree that the original beautiful concept art has longer shoulder cannons, please, also notice that those guns are also HIGHER, almost fully above the cockpit..

The actual ingame model offers shorter shoulder cannons which are in line with the cockpit.. this is better, and here's why:

1) Since the pods are shorter, they will not block field of view.

2) Since they are lower, they will not protrude above the cockpit as much, making it easier to peek and poke, and harder for those high mounts to get shot off..

So even though the mech doesn't match the truly stunning concept art exactly, it is actually better and superior to it.

If they extended the pod boxes outward, it would limit the field of view significantly, like in the cockpit of a Hunchback.

If they made it taller like in the art.. they would get shot off pretty easily like those of the MadCat or Timberwolf..

Trust me.. this is better.

Also, personally, I kinda like the snub-nose look of them Posted Image

I'm all for the cooler extended look, however not the severe loss of FOV

Currently the BlAsp is taller, thicker, wider, and less agile than the MCII. The only thing going for it over the MCII right now is the -A and -B variant's CT ECM mount, and that won't help with any direct fire weapons. (anything that isn't LRMs)

Heck, it doesn't even have any non-set-of-8 quirks... That leaves it firmly in the pile of "don't bother" until they fix it.

A real badass concept artist drew a awesome mech. The actual model looks like a 5 year old build it with his Lego bricks.

Ahmmmmmm..... i shouldnt have preordered. And ill never preorder a mech again. ( cant wait to see the upcoming Hellfire. 100% it will have no LT barrel socket )

I fell 4 this concept art, so iguess its just me to blame. :D
