Actually, the shape is very off... The torsos are bloated, the shoulder mounts are too tall, and the head is an easy target.

Also, I have seen those pods on the shoulders not taking any damage--shots just went through them. So the mech is still good.

I guess this will lead to another round of complaints. Like "why do the missle doors on the Archer don't get the same treatment?"

Could we test that in a way that rules out lag as a potential cause?

If I want to play the meta, I'd play the MkII.
If I want to look good, I'd play the Blood Asp.

Overall lovin the model change. Looks closer to what I payed for.

Missile doors when raised do not take damage.

I like the new look. It's closer to what the concept art depicted, which was the main selling point for people having an interest and pre ordering. Let's face it - The Marauder IIC, Supernova, and Madcat Mark II all roll damage much better than this barn door of a cataphract-wide humanoid target. I think the Blood Asp IS a neat mech, but it was released at an odd time during the game's lifespan and meta gamers are probably going to look elsewhere for different chassis to build on. It might as well at least look the way that was intended.

Agreed on the drunken walk being too over the top. It's the only mech in the game with that kind of gait, and I wish the wobble was about half as much as it is now.

Hmm, too bad really. I wasn't sure about this mech, but it seemed to be performing pretty close to the MC-II, and with the omnimech status plus ECM (I love PUG armor), it seemed like it would be a worthwhile purchase, maybe even for real money.

But.....not interested in "shoot me here" revisions. Guess I'll keep on rocking my Death Strike.

Its so funny to see that PGI think the right thing of "people are complaining about giant ears, lets make them smaller so they don't complain" and then people do what? Complain about the ears beeing to small. Hillariouse.

I love re new look. Should have looked like this from the start. Even the Blood Asp from the old XBOX MechAssault game looked like this. However, I hope the Blood Asp gets some torso speed buffs and please get rid of the stupid sway. It feels and looks like it's got a cougar stuck up its rear end lol.

Absolutely hilarious. This really is one of the few communities where a permanent nerf to a mech's ability to survive is considered to be an improvement by a fair portion of its population and worth going on a campaign for. Oh sure, I'm certain the mech will remain playable, just like every other mech is technically playable. But now not only is it still a boring carbon copy of another mech in the same tonnage bracket, but it's actually even worse than it already was compared to said other mech. "But at least it looks good!" No, it doesn't. It looks bad. Just like the original TRO design.

Head shape size is exactly as advertised... the sides could use more glass but that's about it.
