Logged in for the first time post-patch. Yeah. Well. E-mailed support for the refund, we'll see how it goes. Didn't even take the BAS out to test it - this ain't even about performance at this point, PGI can armour quirk those STs to hell and back, I don't care.
Resetting them back to stock was quite annoying, though.
Be that as it may, and I don't intend to be rude here, but... Do any of you guys, particularly those that were in favour of the change, really like that look? I know, I know, can't argue taste but personally, I think it looks hilariously bad with those oversized pods on the shoulders, concept art be damned. They look astoundingly, disproportionally big in-game; really looks like the Mech ishould be toppling over at any moment. The MW4 and MWLL representations of the BAS already looked top heavy, but the revised MWO model seems completely ridiculous and impractical, even by stompy-robots-in-space-opera standards.
The fact that pods that large seem utterly unnecessary doesn't help, either. I can cram a cGauss into a HMN's right arm and the BAS needs gun pods the size of an Urban Mech to hold 'em?
Again, I don't wanna be offensive, but I can't help calling 'em like I see 'em: I hope this refund goes through, because I'm not gonna spend another penny on a game where something I liked enough to pay cash for gets beaten with the ugly stick because some dudes on Twitter wanted their compensatory assets enlarged.
And yes, I'm salty. Can't help it.

Sounds to me like people just want free buffs to their one of the best mechs in the game.
I guarantee you this change won't make the mech unplayable, but it will make it better to look at.
I'm so diametrically opposed to that statement it's kinda funny.
