Proton is easily the most consistent top player across the years, across all the metas that have come and gone.

Back when I played with any regularity, Proton killed me a few times. They were normally, "wtf, that was fast" moments, where I later felt better that at least it was Proton who ended my short match.

Best guy I saw play on my team? McGral absolutely soloed a team on the mountain in a Wubshee backed before the nerfs. It was impressive. I was just potshotting around in my Founders Hunchy, getting a kill or two, and his name just popped up over and over and over. I feel like we won 12-10 and he must have had like 9 kills.

His name has been lost to the annuals of time.
But those who were at HPG on that day remembers.
He won the match for us.

I just remembered some of the people I loved playing with and truly respected, so I think they deserve a mention, even though neither of them are playing right now..

RGWolf and Spadejack - both great players and leaders.. They taught me how to play, and helped me pass my T.O.P.

Also, MikTek - one of the best NARCers and leaders.. With him narcing and me Lurming.. oh boy did we ever wreck those guys..

The person that creates the biggest "Oh, ****!!!" moments for me is when I see Putin on the other side. I do not think I have played with any of the guys others mentioned a lot, because it seems we have a different schedule, but Putin and I overlap the most from all the top gamers.

I once managed to ambush him, dropped an Arty on him from behind, opened up fire on him and blew his side torso off. When I died he was down to 40ish percent on his Mech. When looking at the end screen I found out that he had survived till the end with half a Mech and still managed to get top damage on both teams by a good margin. Also his team won, again by a fairly large margin.

I frequently run into Bows3r and EMP and 228 in group queue and get my butt kicked usually. I've got screen shots of my 6-7 man winning but that is usually because they are taking troll builds or we end up more coordinated than usual.


proton is pretty much the best player

Magic Pain Glove is tremendous

b33f is good, I almost always win when I find him on my team

Baradul rocks ****** builds and I've seen him take out mechs designed by fans (which is ultra ****** bracket builds or lore builds) and make it work.

Nuttyrat is fun to play with, he can usually get a group of random fans (like myself) to stomp people. Before my harddrive crashed I had a screen shot of us on it that showed we killed bows3r in his PIR 1 because he was way out of position and we saw him and EVERYONE with speed ran him down and killed him and then balled back up and won the match. I would like to toot my own horn and say that a very dangerous Fafnir walked passed my ECM covered HBR and I was able to unload into his back twice and kill him.


There are a lot of good players that don't play anymore, I can't remember them all because I've been going through and purging my <1 Year logged in friends from my friends list.
