I don't really understand the Loyalist mindset.... if you need to have an in-lore explanation, can't you just pretend you're an allied auxiliary force? I am (was?) a member of HHoD... I created a new unit for the purposes of these events, called DEXF... Davion Expeditionary Forces. I went Kurita for a while in Kurita vs Davion, just told people I was a deep cover spy, then at the end switched back to Davion to help the war effort. It was fun, got to play some people I am usually on the same side with.
With the Jade Falcon vs Wolf thing, its gonna be a similar thing, the Jade Falcons have asked for (and received) some additional personnel to help in their war against the Wolves, and in return will trade technological secrets that will help NAIS develop new weapons. Boom, lorified. You can justify pretty much anything here. its not like it's forever, I'll probably be a loyalist Davion again at some point.
You gotta accept that the population of this game is not large enough for everyone at all times to have faction events that involve their specific faction. There are too many different groups, and not enough players in most of them.
Pushing the last of the players to do what they dont want to do is just going to make less players. We started with more buckets and more players. There were no "off nights" when we started. PGI pushed all these players away and they continue to do it.
There is 100% no reason everyone can't play fp when an event is going on other than bad programming.
There is no reason A faction couldn't fight for one side or the other as a merc group without changing flags.
Reward people for helping in these events don't force them.
Mercs and loyalist should not share the same leader boards.
Number one issue with CW is giving people a reason not to play the mode.
