Aren't rockets suppose to be cheap One-shot LRm alternatives?

Any light can do what you're describing, the difference between the PIR has to stare at the target, whereas a RL blast can be an instagib, especially at PB range where there's zero spread. The two things aren't in nearly the same bucket.
@admiralbenbow123 - next time you should probably refrain from the silly "IS is OP" editorialization in your poll options. Just shows that your poll is less about consensus building and more about promoting your agenda on the question.

Or you could do fun stuff like make them Inferno rockets, so they deal heat damage instead.

yep exactly. Its already boring enough, to see all running around in the same Mechs and Builds because efective & hardpoints & blaah.....meh nope thanks
the work to get the kil or better: the win over your oponent . Working with twisting,trading, movement, the right heat weapon group managment and all that. That is what keeps me in the game.
Using a fast medium running around the corner and just click once on mousebutton is just stupid & boring easymode.
Makes it to simple. I know they are many people in the game who prefers that kind of playstyle the less clicks for most damage the better.
want to deserve my kill / win after a hard fight..,, just nope. Even as a IS loyalist ii say: keep the min range

Reason? All those rockets already in launcher, without ammo cycling system which would help in cooling.
