Could you at least remove Escort/Incursion again from the PTS? This just extends the few matches we get without need or benefit.

Shooting disconnects on the PTS is BIG ******* BEHAVIOUR.

Wating hours to get a match, then the client disconnects. And when you reconnect you are already dead because of some mf from the enemy team. Yeah, worthwile.

Saw the first post and said to myself "Look at that, they most likely just forgot, but maybe they finally stopped including the spreadsheets so people just spreadsheet-warrior and become absolutely certain of the outcome before they even play simply because they don't like the numbers. Brilliant, now people will actually have to play, test, and truly see how the changes worked out before commenting on it rather then just lighting the forum on fire because they saw numbers!!!"
Then I scrolled further and realized I was wrong..... Oh well. Really do think they should just give a generalized idea of changes when PTS is open, and not give exact spreadsheet til there done collecting comments.... Too many would lose a marble over that though. Plus, not that it really matters, PGI will do whatever they feel like regardless, and not like anyone will be on the PTS since event going this weekend.

so I tested several builds:
Mad Cat II - 2x Gauss + 4ERLL - not a problem, can´t alpha before, can´t do it now

Hellbringer - 2xHLL + 4xERML - cant alpha now, has to fire max 2x HLL + 2x ERML - that means
- longer facetime
- fire only 2x HLL + 2x ERML and hide, those remaining 2xERML are now just the extraweight with no use, case if i wait for heat dissipation, HLLs and ERMLs just cool down and I can fire them again
- different build with cooler weapons will benefit

Supernova (Delete button) - 4xERML, 2xHLL, 2xLPL
- cannot alpha before, but can fire 4xERML, 2xHLL + wait little bit and fire 2xLPL
- now can do only 2xHLL + wait little bit and fire 2xLPL - 4xERML are now just extraweight with no purpose, because if I wait for heat dissipation, my LPL (or HLL) just cooldown and I can fire them again. ERML dont have any purpose now

Pirranha - 15x SHL - I haven´t tested it, but deffinitely this build is dead
- this was the backstab build - u could do 97,5 semi-alpha (fire 3 groups of lasers 5+5+5)
- cant test because it is needed group of more than 4 players


Overall
- the rotation of the body - weird - Mad Cat has really high difference of the speed of vertical/horizontal movement - it was really weird
- max heat - good direction, but I would change it more according the weight classes (assault should fire more weapons at once than heavy...)
- not sure about 40 heat limit - its quite low (lets test some more)

Pardon me, but why wasn't a link put up on the Website to Download the Patch for the PTS? Some of us have really rude ISPs that want to make our lives miserable, and they screw with Downloads that are NOT done through a Web Browser. Oh well, I'll have to manually track this down, I guess.

I have had my best wait times (sub 1 minute- 5 minutes) NA Central time mid-afternoon (6-10pm)

Dude I thought we covered this for ya on the last PTS. You don't have to download the PTS (>~13.5 gb). You just need to copy the contents of your regular MWO folder over to the PTS one. then just run the repair tool and patch.

So, what do we get for waiting in the queue on PTS for 2+ hours? With no compensation for that, the few that are there (maybe, can't tell with no matches) start to leave and the next have the same problem.

THIS IS NOT A "FIRST INSTALL" SITUATION... so, that's NOT what I'm talking about. I already have the PTS Install Base, due to Alpha Balance PTS 1.0 & 1.1, and was lucky that I could get it. My ISP, amongst others, really doesn't like massive downloads (or as I've come to find, MWO Client Patch '.zip' files) through anything other than a Web Browser. All that I needed after that was the Latest Patch to allow linking up on the PTS Servers, and I was set to Login & Launch.

Agreed. This has resulted in my creating a Poll Thread with Discussion Enabled, in attempt to query if anyone wants the PTS Extended. The currently active Faction Warfare Event on the Live Servers seems to have stolen too many people away.

Disgruntling, ain't it? Please make sure to Vote on my Poll+Discussion Thread, and tell PGI we need more time!

Also, please keep trying to get a Match on the PTS. I'm going to be checking there as often as possible myself!

Frankly, after all the positive reports that I've read, I think that Paul Inouye & Chris Lowrey should skip all the LRM-related changes coming in the August Monthly Patch. Well, except for the ECM-Related Changes in regard to LRMs, as that bubble has seemed awfully small... Then they should implement Alpha Balance PTS 2.0 in an as-is manner into the Live Game along with the ECM-Related Changes, even if they can't get more people on the PTS first. Very likely, this would result in a better balance for MWO's Live Servers.

Ok, after waiting 5ish hours in the queue, games started to happen.
Couldn't get my push to talk key to work though - it works fine in the settings (tested lobby and in match), but doesn't do anything when trying to use it for actually talking. Works fine in other games/voip tools, and I wasn't active in one of those at the time I was on PTS.
EDIT: Found it, was a Windows setting. MWO was just the first programm I noticed it.

Have you tried a different key instead, since that was happening? Also, did you try restarting MWO's PTS Client?

I got 4 matches in between 1pm and 3pm PST yesterday. Had a 3 to 5 minute waut time inbetween.

You can always Test in tuorial or Academy mode....the PTS reward is only c-bills right?

You will not get the reward through Academy, but at least you can test builds if no matches are available.

It only shows the 2M again, yes, but they seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, so maybe we get more in the live game like in the last 2 PTS - another Cicada(Cockroach? Some winged insect thingy) warhorn maybe.
