Total of 513 players have reached Rank 20.

Davion: 51
Kurita: 34
Liao: 34
Marik: 16
Rasalhague: 44
Steiner: 71

Clan Smoke Jaguar: 26
Clan Jade Falcon: 118
Clan Wolf: 69
Clan Ghost Bear: 42
Clan Steel Viper: 4

How many rank 10 mercs are there? will mercs ever get the cbills bonus back?

Maybe have limited merc contracts available in terms of mech quota (numbers of mechs) per faction.
For example Clan Wolf/Davion need 1000 mechs this cycle and Jade Falcon/Kurita need 500 mechs this cycle.
Make it on a First in First out basis.

Once the quota is used up no more contracts available for that faction till next cycle.
And if a faction is overloaded maybe no contracts would be available next cycle as well.

The large units will take the majority of the mech quota perhaps but their will be a point where this isnt possible due to say only 50 mechs left on the quota and this will get filled by the smaller units.

Some contract would not be available to larger units simply because they are too big for the quota available.

Such a system whether workable or not would reflect the fact that mercs take contracts AVAILABLE on MercNET Outreach not create them.

I mean if a contract is not available you can't take it can you.

When you allow merc to change sides willy nilly functionally thats like creating contracts out of thin air.

So with a quota system faction may get a few super big units due to mech quota or a faction may get lots of littler units and every thing inbetween.

Just thinkiing it may help with lots of large units stacking one faction.

Edit: Sorry if this has been mentioned but didn't feel like reading all 9 pages, last 3 is enough Posted Image at that was skimmed

If you are not going to make an FW Academy, just add 5-20 turrets for the lesser team.

Use a combination of the Kaizen and KISS principles.

20 turrets? How much FP have you played?
The matches I've been in the DCs tell everyone to ignore lights during battles as the turrets will wipe them out.
Just like most "spawn camping" complaints I've seen very little of that that isn't a DC telling a wave to go burn their mechs and damage the 2nd wave of the enemy. Drop ships and turrets will typically wreck any injured mechs pretty well.

The only exception to this is seeing groups bring LRMs to FP vs pugs and taking little to no damage, but not on siege mode.
The group I've been dropping with doesn't take LRMs into FP

Faction tonnage should be removed, it currently being abused by high tier player for guaranteed stump.

The tonnage should base on player win ratio + the unit average win ratio. (faction play stats only)
More you win, the lower your total tonnage gets. Add a bonus "economy of scale" that give a bonus reward for achieving your goal with lower tonnage. (Drop Ship fuel is expensive)

I've done 1,112 sieges alone. And 11,232 games in total. (sorry, that was the number from just my main and this Wolf Clan Alt. I'm only allowed to post under this ID now)

I just think that people are asking for things that cannot and will not happen.

Has any idea in any post ever been done? It's mutual masturbation.

Repeating, sorry for the broken record:

The most important feature we need in FP is the ability for unevenly skilled teams to have a decent match. Plenty of posts on how, so I won't do massive quotes.

No, not really. If the high tier players coordinate, you'll be eaten by Assassins, Javelins, Piranhas etc.

Easily abusable: pad your core complement of skilled players with terribads.

Yeah, that is one thing that I feel has an actual chance of getting somewhere - forcing arbitrary restrictions would just cause people to leave and cry foul, appealing to their greed and letting them choose how much of a handicap in their tonnage they're willing to take. Some won't take it, others will, over time it should become more popular.

As I tell PUGs, Teams do not really care if they win or lose. They care about killing you. You are just a statistic.

Just add more Turrets for the lesser teams, even PGI can do that. Have a number of them semi hidden so they cannot be taken out by long-range weapons.

And put some in the drop zones.

The good team will still win but it will not be the total blowouts that happen now.

And I still say that any long time player that has 24 friends and a nice PC can make a long video of what to do and what not to do in Faction Warfare. Stop talking about it and do something!

I semi tried to do it using game footage but my PC is crap.

So you are just joining the party? Seems like your ideas are on par / worse than those asking for a pve mode.
I'm very new (maybe 100 matches played) and half of my deaths playing with a unit are from turrets / dropships / overheating. Asking for hidden turrets be placed to attack units with a high WLR doesn't make the game better, it's just going to ruin role warfare even more (light scout is mysteriously rear cored, etc..)

That's not going to affect my unit as much as me trying to learn while a member of it.

I have seen lots of "how to cw" videos over the years. Im sure it helped players but it doesnt make a game mode work
if this game had a million people you might be able to have a mode where the top 10% of players are playing. When you do this with MWO peak players on steam right now is 800...

You have to support old players who will never be that good and you need to support new players

Side note,
How many groups have 24 players playing anymore? Im on my 3rd unit now after the first two stopped playing. They both had over 24 players at one time..

Hey Paul, I know I said this before on the previous page, but for FP Rewards, give them a scenario on how they were obtained. It's a lot better than "I got this reward from a event." Let us get a pop-up message explaining the rewards we see claimed.

To act to your wireframe concept, this my visualization on how they should look. Just to show you a few examples:

C-bills Reward

Not true for all teams. When we drop FP, we definitely care more about the win than anything else. Over time, more wins per hour is worth more than spending time waiting for 48 'mech to drop in, or hunting someone down who's playing defensively and trying to draw out the match.
- Skirmish - killing is winning.
- Assault - killing is almost always winning (we usually won't go for the base rush in assault until we see a clear opening).
- Domination - maintaining control of the circle is winning.
- Conquest - personally, my favorite FP game mode, with a good balance between cap management and fighting throughout the match.
- Incursion - we will almost always go for the base rush and fast win to push the tug-of-war out of this mode as fast as possible.
- Invasion (offense) - in the early game, killing is winning, in the late game, we'll usually go for objectives rather than wait for the last few 'mechs to drop in.
- Invasion (defense) - killing is almost always winning.
